i retired a few years ago from the f/a job. International flying is really hard on the body. It didn’t matter if i napped when i got in or not, i always felt like crap. These guys are young and adventurous. Later on the the career, a lot of us just did our own thing.

Very important: you HAVE to toast the crumpets!!! Then you spread butter on them and eat while hot and as the butter melts. I think before you and John ate them cold. Butter and Nutella or butter and jam is even better 😊 Happy to help.

Hi..first time viewer from London. The christmas pudding should be eaten hot with brandy butter but you can use cream, ice cream or custard. It's a heavy pudding so you need something with it. Happy eating! 🙂

When you mentioned crew meals weren’t being provided ,maybe that should be brought up with the next collective bargaining session. Yes, you should get a crew meal from the airline,even if the flight is not 12 hrs.

Blood Orange Marmalade at Fortnum & Mason, sooooo good. I brought three jars home my last trip. My friend and I had several things mailed home to us from Fortum & Mason and SOB, I TOTALLY forgot to add another couple jars of Marmalade. The only one I've found here that comes close is from William Sonoma. Too bad you didn't have a bit more time, London has such great things on offer at Christmas.

I usually stay at the Abbey Court West Point when in London. I ride the Heathrow Express into Paddington Station and the hotel is about two blocks away. The Fabric Discoteque in London is a great place to party at. It’s near the Farringdon stop off the tube,I believe the Bakerloo or Jubilee line.

You made me laugh on this flight with doing the main cabin meal service going and coming back to you home base. We have always had two people doing the meal service set up for main cabin. One F/A for the right and another for the left side. I had always assigned the extra F/As with the beverage service. When I use to have new F/As coming with me on international trips, I place a couple in Business Class to help out the senior F/As. And then if any other new hires they would go in Economy as well. Now see we had crew member meals for our long haul domestic and international trips. And of the meals that we could order for our trips, I always ordered the Caesar salad to have with a couple of cold sliced boiled eggs finished and placed on top of the salad.

I recently went to BRU for the first time and I was excited to go to the Christmas market to pick up some ornaments. Well....after walking over 2 hours in the freezing cold and light rain....they were only selling food. No ornaments. I was NOT amused. I'm so sorry you didn't have a good time. Try flying to Manchester and visit the north of England and the UK. London is not really typical of the UK and overpriced with colder people. I recommend a trip to York too and other places on the UK for sure. I am British and only ever visited London twice and lived abroad and visited other worldwide cities more often. AA still fly to MAN stopped the ORD service and JFK and think its just the former USAir route to PHL but Virgin have a large base at MAN. Enjoy

You need to buy Percy Pigs 🐷 and Percy Pigs and Pals which also includes 🐑 and 🐮 sweets (candy) from M&S. They are so good! Your One World Alliance Partner British Airways used to sell M&as food on their short haul flights as buy on board but they have reinstated their complimentary snacks on short haul domestic routes

I remember getting assigned to a São Paulo trip on the 787 as the #5. The whole crew (2 weeks out of training) was reassigned and we had no idea what to do or where to begin lol 😂

Love the videos as you’re a few who still make them. Hopefully your next trip will be better. One question if you can answer is about your working in the galley. Is it in the aft or it looks like your below deck like in the 747 of first models back in the beginning. That was a lot of room to work as compared to narrow isle aircraft.
