London woman dies in XL bully attack | SWNS

A woman has been mauled to death by her own XL Bully dogs at a house in east London.
Armed Met Police officers raced to the address on Cornwall Close in Hornchurch, in the borough of Havering, on Monday afternoon.
The woman, in her 50s, was treated by medics from the London Ambulance Service but sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Two registered XL bullies, who were found shut inside a room, were seized and removed from the property.
The family of the woman are being supported by specialist officers, a spokesperson for the Met added.
It became a criminal offence to own the XL bully breed in England and Wales without an exemption certificate from February 1.
Anyone who owns one of the dogs must have the animal neutered and microchipped, and keep it muzzled and on a lead in public.
The government’s move to ban XL bullies followed a series of attacks on people.

Well, be real, they could all hurt flies. The answer, to your question, is in the psychology of the human. If you believe you can't tell who's the owner of a manifestly dangerous breed or type, without the dog being evident, within a couple of minutes - you're not giving your amygdala the credit it deserves. That's even if they are dressed discreetly and not already injured. You'll know from the way they comport themselves, the things they say, and how they say them.

There is ZERO reason to own these XL bullys. Not only that in my opinion they are they not very nice looking dogs to begin with, but the sheer power of these dogs and ferocity and outright determination to kill you when they finally do snap is beyond compare of any other breed. Sure other breeds do contribute to a number of dog attacks each year, but look at the number of fatalities by breed. The whole 'oh he wouldn't hurt a fly'... Funny how in most of these situations those words have been uttered. Also, these breeds are often owned by complete idiots which doesn't help the situation.

Proof , had to give my arm to a German shepherd to save 5 kids ( one little boy tried protecting his siblings looked half chewed up 😮😢) owner still said its because your a man. Eventually it bit 2 boys myself, one girl then turned on the owner. I still blame the owner for neglecting to exercise the animal. Please control your dogs and PLEASE 🙏 dont let them jump on people in wheelchairs and brush it off as playing. Its terrifying in a wheelchair and the dog leaves slobber and 💩 on everything....

Just wanna remind you mate that German shepherds are internationally used as military dogs world wide because it’s so easy to train them to kill…they’re also not only legal but if trained you can legally walk them off leash too…German shepherds are literally the finest example of “it’s not the dog, it’s the owner” 👍🏽

It's a combination of dodgy breeders who select aggressive puppies to bring up and breed, along with the idiots who are wanting aggressive dogs. These then find their way into the hands of owners who aren't looking for an aggressive dog but also don't train them properly. The result are dogs with a strong attack instinct and an owner who has no idea how to correct that behaviour bringing it up.

This is very sad but predictable when a large breed dog is kept in a tiny house. Many large dogs (collies, German shepherd's, huskies, shar pei and many other gun and working dogs) need to work and be exercised several times a day for miles not just 10 mins twice a day. When they are traped inside a small house, bored and frustrated they can snap and retaliate with fatal outcomes. It also doesn't help when the owner doesn't have the authority over the dog from training or respect from the dog.

WRONG! Staffordshire bull terriers are lovely dogs. Over many years I've known a lot of their owners & the staffies have ALL been really lovely dogs. It's owners who teach their dogs (just like their kids) to protect by being really vicious.
