I know that the guards are not there to entertain, but I really like that guard. I've noticed in other videos as well, just how calm, attentive, and nice he is! Very kind with children and elderly. One on the left Trojan I think this is the first time i ever saw him. 31:21 he looks excited to get out of the box and into stable. Trojan replacement is very very curious watching around him/her at the people with the trooper keeping an eye 👁️ on the horse. These troops are amazing as they cope with the crowds with a very large powerful horse.

That father with the son in a blue coat needs his bumps reading. He has no idea what's going on with the horse, his little chicken sacrifice is right next to the horse, that tries to taste him more than once, neither of them move, and then his sister comes along as an additional snack. What's wrong with these people? Do they think the sign means horses may kick or bite anyone except you and your kids? ...duh!!!

I suppose one might say, "it's horses for courses"?! 🐴♥️I love horses♥️🐴, and I've worked with them a fair bit (though _years_ ago during the 1970's !!) so am aware of just how 'volatile' some situation _could_ become, if passersby / tourists misbehave around, or too near horses, _even_ the beautiful and well-trained horses 🐴🐴 belonging to our fantastic armed forces... I would prefer to admire the Guardsmen and their Mounts 🐴🐴 from 'afar' (either via _your_ excellent videos, or indeed, 🎵'From A Distance'🎵 - as famously sung by both Sir Cliff Richard, and Bette Midler).🙂🇺🇸🐴🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿♥️🇬🇧🐴🖖

I get that people who have no horse experience stare…..ofc they do……these are gorgeous horses in the middle of London!!! I had a friend here, who was totally entranced by our horses when she first met them, and in all honesty ours were pretty ordinary horses…a quarter horse, a sb, a mid sized welsh pony and a mongrel ex school pony at the time. It’s the ones that treat those horses like “my little ponies” that annoy me. If they know dick about horses why do they think they can just approach and do whatever they like? You NEED to be able to “read” a horses body language, especially the patently bloody obvious body language like rolling eyes, pinned ears and evasive movements that say “don’t TOUCH!!!” and RESPECT that communication!!

That horse is a lot better than one of the ones on another channel where the horse was biting everyone and grabbed the elderly lady by the sleeve and shook her around and dropped her on the ground in front of it and her hat ended up under the horse it bit so many people that day but i guess they would get peeved off with a lot of people being idiots like that day the guard was yelling all the time yanking the reins out of peoples hands

LCW often horses have different faces even though colour or markings may be very similar. It is all down to the shape of the head often the distance between the gullet or throat and the eye area will be telling.

Apart from the poor weather London is extra-busy at the moment, so John is preserving his sanity and keeping out of the way for a few days. Not necessarily actually. Louder can just be worse, just turning into an audio mush. It’s more to save the throats and voices of the guides which tbh, if you’re doing groups as a living, shouldn’t be required. It’s a matter of good speaking technique and clarity of speech, not volume.
