I did predict that this second heatwave was not the one to worry about. It's next months one and again you will not be prepared as this one is going to cost, and cost will be to life, property, and animals. The "Fire Brigade" is sleep walking and it needs to be doing far more, than it is. The forestry commission, the military the water companies should all be working together on mapping out the potential "Hot spots" and preparing for readiness. That is what will save lives, and more so, money in cost of insurance premiums going up and having to relocate families into temporary accommodation. The council will have their budgets hit and they have no choice. So the more proactive this multi-disciplinary group is in working together the better chance we can reduce the level of damage. I still think that 44 degrees is on the cards, the downside is I don't have an exact projection of when other than it's this side of this year. The tricky bit is now we have technically had two heatwaves already this year and I'm predicting at least a third one and I cannot rule out a forth. Summer no longer has to play by the old rules, so they no longer apply anymore and that is why we are having to throw the old rule book away. What we need to see is the forestry reducing risks in built up areas to minimise localised fires from spreading in suburban areas and sadly we have plenty of those. It may be prudent to set up depots of resources to the potential hot spots so they are on hand. I still haven't see any of the media companies, setting up a neighbourhood watch for fires for up and down the country yet. It is imperative that we use the resources at hand. Are all the "Fire Stations" fully prepped?

He has also predicted gas explosions and fires caused by wiring that was outdated and never changed. Our Transport Network, finally gets exposed as rail lines buckle and then puts passenger lives at risk. The government has sat on its hands while we reached the point and that is not just irresponsible, but shows negligence at the highest level which really needs to be investigated. The other one issue that we managed to escape was outages and that will happen in the next heatwave. So imagine this. Buildings and offices, Hospitals and care homes, Businesses ranging from retail shops to restaurants will lose business as a result which will push us further into a recession and deepen the crisis we all face currently. The economy takes a swan dive, and inflation carries on rising. Which is another reason why interest rates have to be increased to 3% - 5% by the end of this year! The country is already on its knees, so where do we go from here. The fire brigade needs to be proactively putting a strategy in place for what is coming or it will take the brunt of the criticism that will be unleashed by the public for not being able to serve the Nation in the important role they play in protecting us all. 12 Years of being under the conservatives has brought us to this position where with all the cut backs we now are all at risk. The Nation will see that this is no longer the party that should be in charge of our Nation.

You will not know what hit you this year, as for readiness the "Fire Brigade" across the "Nation" will be exposed for how unfit for purpose you currently are. The one question remains is how did you and the whole Fire Brigade Service were allowed to get to this position that basically brought the whole country to this crisis which was preventable. In the coming weeks my husband has predicted that we will experience the following. We will see a new record of 44 degrees, which will actually present a whole different set of problems we have never witnessed before. Aside the wild fires which will hit home as our Cities will feel like that they are on fire, will be far closer to the truth than any other time in our history.
