The Mondays recorded this album in Barbados. Shawn was was being treated for H addiction at the time and Barbados was H clean. Two points on this subject: 1. Shawn accidentally dropped and smashed his bottle of Methadone at Heathrow while checking-in. 2. While it's true that there was no H on Barbados, it was utterly awash with crack. Shenanigans ensued.

Would have been a good single. Not sure why Factory decided on relocating recordings to Barbados. The other mystery is why would anyone consider Tina Weymouth and Cris Franz to produce anyone’s album. I think those two factors killed this album.

Chris & Tina did a pretty good job producing Ziggy Marley though About Happy Mondays, it was a casting error, but I guess the band themselves were not ready to top "Pills'n'Thrills" with any other new album they could think of at the time... except for Shaun with the first Black Grape album

@@Blank_Frank Shaun has said in retrospect that Yes Please should've been the first Black Grape album instead of it being a Happy Mondays album, so it seems like that direction was on his mind for a long time
