I have no doubt that if Jason had started with professional fighting earlier in his life he would have made UFC no problem. His only issue was that he focused on other career options (running his dojos as a teacher, acting) throughout his 20's. Didn't start MMA until he was in his middle 30's. The human body can't take that much pain at 35 years old and on. There's a time limit on these things. That said, he fully proved himself as a legit serious fighter. Regardless of his age now, I definitely wouldn't want to fight him. Lol.

Specially that he would be competing in the late 90's which was still the early days of UFC. He was much more leaner back then, so i imagine he would had been competing on welterweight division, which was a new weight class.

I think the only thing I don't like about JDF's fights is that he goes up against guys who don't have nearly as much experience and training in martial arts as he does. He's a very smart fighter and I really think he should be going in the UFC instead of getting these easy wins on amateurs.

If both were in their prime and trained the heck out for a fight, both can exhibit a good match. JDF is a very well rounded and well disciplined Martial Artist. After all when he started his career in power rangers the UFC back then was still a publicized street fight and Dana was making publicity out of "No rules" fight. Probably JDF didnt want some of that smoke back then. Only crazy people would really fight back then in UFC 1.

My master from TKD comes from a genetic line of really fat people and she is now 48 with a 25 year old's body, she's married and has had a kid. She does work out all day, aerobics, martial arts, hikes during weekends, and has a degree in nutrition so she eats right. He decided to let himself go.
