What differs you from so many other DIYers is perfectly summed up in that decision to do the double trim on the doors-both the black reed liner AND the second reed in the cane color also. Those are the moments that elevate your ideas/projects from the typical “crafty” and “cool” to “curated” and “clean”. We love you for eyeing those details to help us take our projects to that next level.

You look so professional using all the tools the right way, including the protective glasses and all, super proud of you. To be honest this media console looks to have the same style of one that Dyi Dannie did on her channel with IKEA furniture as well, but it was more of a storing situation. But seriously I loved your take on this. I AM SO JEALOUS OF THE THINGS YOU ARE ABLE TO DO. Here in Brazil we don't really have Ikea or gorilla hot glue sticks, even the canes are hard to find, but I'm happy just to wacth you for sure. ❤❤

I love this! finally for the first time in my life i have been interested in my own environment after surviving my mother's cluttered horder home! I have been watching milena ciciotti after i got into using Montessori with my baby at the time now that she's a toddler in need of space for her own Montessori wardobe and clear miminal structured environment i said enough was enough! i decluttered at least our own shared room and clothing of all the extra clothes my mum kept in there since she gave us this room to stay in until we could move with my husband (pandemic) i think having the empty wall to look at and the extra space for my own design options of some cubed shelving with rattan cubes i was really keen on stripping the wallpaper and realised i wanted to go full minimalism on the decor too i actually am so keen on this whole project for our room. So throughout the video i was admiring the choises of plants and the beautiful muted pastel and deep colours especially the deep cyan green mint bed frame that matches our wall. I know the punt of the video was the hank but dang it i need to get on with the decor.

Project turned out great! I love the circular woven caning as it is perfect for stapling to the back of a frame to creat an earring holder for fishhook earrings or wire and rings to make scarf holders or necklace loops. If you want to pull in your hardware or an accent color, paint your Reed spline in a metallic which elevates the piece or try gold leafing. It really dresses up the piece and you can relate back to the hardware. You can also make the piece pop with an accent color on the flat Reed and the spline. Like red to accent the black.

That was exactly my first thought when he made the initial cut. That open D shape would make a really cute piece of decor.
