You always make everything look so cozy. So jealous of your locations. I no longer backpack but I did when I was younger. Car camping is the way to go for me. I’m a total glamper. I try to take very minimal and even do a little bush craft exercises but I like my gadgets and gear. After 35 years of camping I think I deserve it lol I just completed weekend number 27 this year of camping. I’ve started a Facebook page to show my journeys and gear and photography. It’s going very well so far. It’s been a big year for me. You’ve inspired me so many times to get out there. Thank you Jeremy your journeys are amazing and your photography is top notch. I really appreciate all you do and I absolutely love watching your videos. ❤️

I have to also say that the camera work, the lighting, the shots, the angles were awesome in this vid. This was the vid that really got me into hot tent camping. One thing I like about canvas is that it has a richer, warm light inside - which might be important if a person is winter base camping for any amount of time. I have had a blue wall tent for a while, and it feels especially cold inside when the weather is cold. I am interested in this tent. Pack weight is usually not a top concern for me, but I wonder if the extra weight would be a top concern if the canvas got really wet. Maybe two trips back and forth could be a solution. Start out the first hike in, with a light hammock setup and score a good spot for the Pomoly canvas. Then the next day, hike back to the car and pickup a second backpack full of base camp gear. I thought about the performance of canvas in the damper pacific north west, in comparison to a much dryer climate like colorado. How would you rate the climate in Nova Scotia? and thanks!
@Lonewolfwildcamping
@Lonewolfwildcamping 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, the location was awsone. Canvas loadouts can be heavy. The pomoly canvas tents are a much lighter and packable canvas material

Tip for the Bialetti coffee maker. Boil the water first, pour the boiling water into the chamber, assemble, and then reboil everything again. It’ll burn the coffee less and you’ll have smoother and less acidic coffee.

You hauled in an entire homestead in your pack! I did a solo a few weeks ago to test out some stuff and had a 50lb pack I had to ruck in about 2.5 miles. Wasn't horrible, but it was a very humid day and I was soaked with sweat...heh. Your camp looked great! BTW, the Grayl Geopress is a game changer! I used mine three times on my trip and it's so nice and easy to use.

That was quite a load of gear you hauled in. I hope come the snow season, you have a pulk or toboggan to help haul in the gear in. Now the wait is on to the first good snowfall and decently cold temperatures. That will be a good test of the canvas tipi hot tent.

Hey Lone Wolf, Did you notice a difference in the insulation of the canvas vs the polyester/silver lined hot tent? For truck camping in the fall, which material do you like better?
@Lonewolfwildcamping
@Lonewolfwildcamping 4 жыл бұрын
The fabric of any tent realistically only "retains" so much heat. I personally don't notice any difference because I use the stove to combat the cold
@lincdebunce9249

Love your videos and all content as always. If I may make a suggestion, it would be very helpful if the tent model and the stove model mentioned in the description or the title of the video. This helps people like me who is starting with hot tenting to figure out which tent and stove is which. It also would help finding your content. If this is the hex plus tent, I have been searching for videos of hex plus, and this video did not show up. I randomly clicked on this on your channel. Otherwise I wouldn't have seen it. Thank you.
