LONG AWAITED NEW MAKEUP: New Kosas Foundation, LYS Concealer, Tower28, Tom Ford, BareMinerals & MORE

When it rains, it pours! I have so much exciting new makeup to share today in a chatty get-ready-with-me in the long video format you love. I'm sharing my initial thoughts (not a first impression though!) of the new Kosas Revealer Foundation, a new "creme" quad from Tom Ford, new LYS concealer, the new Pistachio Milky Lip Gloss from Tower 28, a gorgeous new mascara from BareMinerals, and exciting new-to-my-channel brands like KIMCHI CHIC and Item Beauty by Addison Rae (yes, you read that right!). That cuteness phase Simon has is how they convince us to have another😋. Our new house was the same except the holes are in the doors. We have to replace all of them but the pandemic has removed that option, all in back order. We were able to paint before we moved in. It made such a big difference! It’s like a big bath for the house.

I pimped my kids out at the local playgrounds to make new friends...LOL. Even when my kids were still in carriages, I'd go for long walks and meet other moms. Otherwise, my head would have exploded. Parents need other kids to attend their kids' birthday parties, so will come around to wanting to make friends.

I watch a TON of drag content and I’ve noticed that drag queens tend to refer to each other as “she” whether they’re in or out of drag, it seems like almost more of a term of endearment than their proper pronoun if that makes sense? But I think you’re right in assuming it’s generally acceptable to call them “she” in drag and “he” out of drag 🖤 Side note: who else watches Unhhh?? I don’t know anyone in my real life who would understand all the jokes I want to make in reference to that show 😂

I juuuust held off on buying RMS sunbeam because I didn’t trust their super duper edited promotional pics on Sephora… I was sitting here like ‘swatch sunbeam…. Do it… she did it!! Amazing!!’ We are both similarly pale AF, both Nars Mont Blanc shades, so I hold on with white knuckles for you to review certain things because if they look good on you, they’ll most likely look good on me. I love the Kim Chi high lighter, it's so pretty as a topper. As a lover of the Thrive mascara; do you have any tricks on how to make it look a little fluffier? I very much love the no flake no smudge factor & LIVE to take it off but it tends to clump my lashes together & build in a chunky inconsistent kind of way. Help me, Kackie!!

Watched your Tom Ford Traceless foundation stick (and other TF products) review at 1am last night and finally ordered it! 🙃 Now I want to order the Kosas, but thankfully, it's not available at Sephora Canada and Kosas shipping costs are way too high, so I will have to wait, and it's not a bad thing since TF was priceeeeyyyy AF. I too, have been mixing the Rare Beauty blush because the pigments are just too much for me! I mix it with the Saie glowy gel highlighter and it's really beautiful! Great video, as always! 😘

Okay I’m starting to think that Item beauty is just frankly pretty good. I have one of their brow pencils that came in an ipsy box. At the time I was just like “eh I guess, its a brow pencil, I’ll definitely use it.” But I keep choosing it over the 10 other options I have. Its reliable and no fuss. So idk man. I’m the same age as you so I was like “Ah, that one is for the youths.” But here we are 🤷🏼‍♀️

Regarding the allantoin in the Ilia... there's another ingredient in there, gluconolactone which is a polyhydroxy acid, considered a more mild exfoliator than alpha or beta hydroxy acids. Pretty sure that's why my barrier was destroyed while using the prior formulation. The allantoin (frequently seen in eczema relief products) was probably added to counteract the effects of the gluconolactone. Gonna pass on the new formulation nevertheless!😉

Oh Kackie, if you're close to Easton, some day you'll have to make the drive to the Finger Lakes in NY and try some of the organic wineries up there. I can't speak to the quality, as well...I can't drink wine anymore after an incredibly over-indulgent weekend on Keuka Lake with the besties. But, it's a gorgeous area with a lot of cool hidden gem type spots.

You got it right about the pronouns :) Also I wanted to say that as a rule kids only get upset if something is wrong. It's just the scale of what's upsetting for a kid is different than an adult and they have less tools for communication + emotional regulation. So if you find Simon is super reasonable, it's because you're doing a great job with him! Seriously bravo for giving him those skills early on.

Sports is where it’s at when it comes to making friends. Now you know Texas is a different ball game but here when the kids start getting involved in their first soccer team or T ball team is when we really started to find our people. You get frequent, longer periods of time to really interview the candidates and “mom date”. We grew up in our current city and had friends but it all changed when we began having children and suddenly you kind of desire a new subset of people. There’s something absolutely nightmarish about going to someone’s home who doesn’t have kids or trying go to dinner at 5:30 PM that non-parents just don’t get.

While you were putting on the foundation i was cracking up at the fact that you managed to NEVER put makeup on that small area between your forehead & cheek next to your (outer) eye corner on the rightside of your face. At least not on camera, to the point where i could see a shade difference on that small patch of skin. You finally covered it when you were applying the concealer after foundation. But you had me dying every time you got close to that area with the foundation sponge i was like “ooohh here we go she’s gonna get it!” but nope! Anyway, watching makeup application is like a sport sometimes. 😂😂😂

Ah yes " do cardio" my other favorite is " try losing 10 pounds." Unless you have an endurance goal, or you really enjoy it, doing cardio for the sake of doing cardio doesn't have any long term benefits for your body that you can't get from yoga or strengthen/resistance training.
