Many COVID patients worldwide are dealing with long COVID. New approaches are being researched, but they can't help everyone. Symptoms are diverse and the suffering is often not visible, and some patients feel the doctors don't take them seriously.

I’m white and have had no help whatsoever none. Most doctors here in Canada know nothing about long Covid. It’s frustrating and I guess if I can afford it I might go to a long Covid clinic. I may have to . Like you, I want my life back.

I feel it's changing. I've been on reddit and it seems like more doctors are openly telling patients that they are suffering from long covid. The US government talking about their initiatives to deal with it gave it some legitimacy. Also, as COVID spreads, more and more people are getting it, especially close family members and longtime patients who don't have a history of hypochondriac behavior. Not to mention, the doctors themselves are getting it. I definitely don't think it will be possible to deny it for much longer. Someone was also talking about how Persian Gulf war vets(the one in 1991) were suffering from that syndrome and how it was related to long covid, which is very interesting. The fact that no one to my knowledge in the War on Terror had it is incredibly interesting. It just shows that something DID happen back in 1991 that did affect service members. It probably is a nerve disorder triggered by something. Could have been nerve gas in 1991. Definitely something to think about.

It seems the thoughts I had pre covid were totally different than post covid. I was watching things in a different perspective. On the physical side, it left me sleeping issues, tinitius, heart palpitations and sporadic anxiety. I'm 33

I caught Covid, the Delta variant, and was hospitalized for 6 days with it. Before that, I was vaccinated, in shape after losing 30lbs, and eating healthy because I cut out sugars. I was also improving with my fitness, getting stronger and leaner. After the hospitalization, where I was treated as an oddity because of my age and fitness, I've had trouble breathing. Like I was an asthmatic. I developed heart palpitations and could not get out of bed as easily as I used to either. It's been almost a year now, and I just feel lethargic in my daily activities. It just takes a lot out of me to do basic chores around the house. I'm hoping my renewed interest in walking can help me get back to where I was before covid.

You should not call it Long Covid but Long Haulers. There is a big difference. Long Covid are people with severe symptoms during infection and it takes long to get over the damages done. On the other side the symptoms of fatigue and brain fog are Long Haulers symptoms. These are usually people between 25 and 55 with light cases during active infection, but after infection is done their own antibodies causing inflammation through the body, heart or brain ( brain stem or cerebellar swelling causing vertigo and dizziness ) and issues with the autonomic nervous system. I am a PT and took a course how to treat the aftermath and Long Haulers. Antiinflammatiry diet, gentle exercise, relaxation, breathing exercises to calm the nervous system. Hope this helps someone.

I made a comment a while back on experimenting with water fasting to combat my Long Covid. I was suffering with debilitating fatigue and PEM that would leave me unable to do the laundry. Breathlessness, the lot. Life felt on hold for the best part of a year. I did a 3 day water fast (with salt/electrolytes), and can now happily say my condition is cured. Resolved 95% within a week of the fast, brief minor recurrence of very mild fatigue for a few days here and there, now 100% gone. Just a case of rebuilding strength and cardio now. Can do full strength training sessions as per pre Covid, no PEM to speak of. I’d highly recommend people to try this, with proper research and advice from a doctor. Any questions, I’ll do my best to help. May everyone recover as fast as possible. Cheers 🙂

Ashley is so right about medical galighting in US. I also think post covid stuff may have been happening earlier. Am RN who got lower resp infection in very early 2016 took mos to clear but got every symptom of MG and quit being able to only sleep. Have had wild covid in 2020 in March and all symptoms so bad was 8 mos of hourly struggles but because of hypoxia already had O2 and bipap at home. Have had 2 abn muscle biopsies, 3 abn EMG and had diagnosis pingpong played around me. In disgust I asked to try Mestinon even without antibodies. Had positive response in 2 days but not more than 30% improvement over a yr. Some days are nearly impossible to live through. Just glad to know am not alone, even as alone.

At the end of 2021 my husband and I had what we thoight was Omnicron. We were in Mexico at the time and testing was difficult to get. Our symptoms were mild so we decided to just quarentine. But early in 2022 I started having very painful nerve pain, fatique, mild cognative issues, forgetfulness, weight gain and breathing problems. Still, I thought my problems were related to a shoulder injury and menopause. Now, 8 months into 2023 and my symptoms have abated very little. I suspect I have long covid.

You probably do. I got Covid in Oct. 2021. Was very sick and bedridden for 3 months. It’s now Dec.2023 and I’ve been very ill with extreme fatigue, mild headaches daily, very weak, dizziness, heart issues and blurred vision. No diagnosis of any kind of known illness. Finally, it’s decided I have Long Covid. No treatment. Treating myself naturally, and it’s slow progress but I believe I’m beginning to climb out of it no thanks to the scientific community and one individual in particular who has made millions from this well planned epidemic. I can barely walk before I'm gasping for air. Having been told last week I'm not asthmatic and not to use inhalers. And does this throbbing eardrums and head ache ever go away. And what's the deal with the wall of fatigue that just wipes you out. I can't stay awake for more than 6hours and that's a vast improvement from 4 😢 Ultimatly I'm just sorry, that your having to argue. I truely hoped the medical response to covid would be holistic and patient centred.

Long Covid has caused endothelial dysfunction in many people, which affects also the tiny vessels and causes chest pain after mild exercise and/or out of nowhere. Talk to your doctor, endothelial dysfunction won't show up on an echo or stress test, there are other tests for it. Also, ask if you can add L-arganine, and CoQ10 to your treatment along with vitamin C. I hope you feel much better soon.

15:27 Thank you for recognizing that calling people names when they refuse vaccination wouldn't help the vaccination effort! If only the government, media, ordinary people would recognize that as well. If you have 1% or even 5% of the population being antivaxxers, that might be within statistical variations, but we are talking about 20-30% here, and not just in Germany, but world-wide. Then it is a communication problem on the authorities' end. A solution cannot be found unless the people in power recognize that.

It is difficult to attribute these symptoms. There could be multiple causes. The vaccine, the illness itself and even the psychological and psychosomatic effects. This is why all patients vaccinated and not, should have been monitored - long term. In fact a un-vaccinated group should have been observed too.

It really isn't... we had the exact same consequences on all other previous SARS outbreaks (covid 19 is just yet another - though the most transmissible by far which is why its caused so much damage and disruption). We also see this in Ebola and pretty much every single novel virus outbreak ever. The entire global medical community knows with complete certainty what to attribute these symptoms too, its a post viral syndrome caused by covid 19 exactly as we expected there to be and as it is with all novel viral outbreaks. Even the Spanish flu had its own pvs known as the "sleepy sickness"

@@clairchetwood9777 I hope its not but most post viral syndromes are. So although long covid is only 2 years old the post viral syndromes caused by SARS and MERS and Ebola, with near identical symptoms (especially SARS & MERS which are closely related to sars covid 19) never cleared in those that got them. Same with ME/CFS cases most do not recover, these can be caused by all kinds of viruses including influenza (flu) and have been around for centuries, but really started being properly documented in the 50s and 60s. The one thing that gives me hope is that with so many sick it may bring about real treatments but there is a very high chance of permanent disability. I say that as someone with the disease so I do hope there will be treatments but the science is clear that it would be somewhat of a miracle for most to be cured. Not impossible though I hope

The Ukraine & Russia crisis In simple terms for those that have no idea what is going on. -Ukraine used to be in an abusive relationship with Russia, feeding him, letting him use her car & giving him whatever he asked for until she built up the confidence to call it quits back in 1991 -Since then Ukraine has been working on herself, becoming a strong independent woman with help from friends like France, America, Poland etc. offering her support, loaning her money, & helping her find her way. -Ukraine has been enjoying being single for 30 years & looking forward to continuing to grow & create new friendships. -Now Russia being the toxic Ex that it is wants her back, and doesn’t want her meeting new people or creating any new relationships. -A couple of weeks ago Russia started sitting in the front of Ukraine’s house & when her friends ask him what was he doing there, he said “Oh nothing, just getting a little bit of exercise in, that’s all.” -After her friends told her that Russia was potentially getting ready to do something bad to her, he said “They’re lying, they just want you to be scared of me & that’s not what it is” -Today Russia broke into Ukraine’s house, beating her up & “taking advantage” of her while on Livestream & double dog daring any of her friends to do something about it & if they do want the smoke, Russia got that thang on

The unvaccinated are mostly younger people who will very rarely die of COVID if they catch it. The vaccinated are mostly older people (almost 100% are vaccinated from age 50 up). @9:25 explains my current symptoms best! I have eye floaters and used to get blurry vision! I'm also light lightheaded with balance issues and my limbs go numb sometimes. This all points to issues with blood circulation! The eye is definitely the window to the body. They are saying here it's autoantibodies bit other scientists are pointing to microclots causing clogging. I think most (if not all) of covid symptoms are actually caused by poor blood flow to the organs and this is causing what they call tissue hypoxia. Like in my case, less blood is getting to my eye, ears and brain and the end result is dizziness and eye floaters that gets worse when I stand. The heart usually try to compensate for reduced blood flow but increasing the heart rate and yes mine spikes about 30BPM when I stand. For context, I had covid back in June 2021 and vaccinated in September 2021. Unfortunately, the vaccine made my symptoms worse. I hope they'll soon figure it out.

I reccomend prolonged fasting. DYOR on the topic and make sure your in the right health to do it safely. I have seen a great improvement in my LC after a 3 day water fast paired with supplementing RESVERATROL & QUEURCITIN. This triggers autophagy and clears the blood of spike proteins!!!! I have more supplements that will help, comment back and I will tell you!

@@alohaarianna Coronavirus pneumonia at the initial stage was actually COVID + autoimmune reaction (vessels) for the destruction of Blood-brain barrier - entry into the central nervous system - brain - reproduction - exit through the nerve of the nose with entry into the nasopharynx for the next infection. Now the virus goes the other way: nasopharynx (mucus production from damaged cells) - stomach - intestines (infection of others is possible in the absence of human hygiene and places of discharge of need) - enteral nervous system (Autoimmune reaction Blood-brain barrier) - vagus nerve - brain - reproduction - exit through the nerve of the nose with entry into the nasopharynx for the next infection (may come out through the eyes, ears). The output of the virus is determined by the pressure of the virus particles on the one hand (potential) and its absence on the other hand. When passing through the body each time, this system of potentials provides a new path for a more successful new variant - variability in potential and path, which determines the future direction of mutations, which are determined by a large variability of erroneous assemblies that are also looking for new ways. We can say that the virus is self-learning with AI by feedback. The first thing to do is to wear a respirator and treat the brain, which needs time to engage untrained neurons. With multiple reinfection, the reserve of spare neurons will be exhausted and this will be damage forever. At the same time, there will soon be often cyclical over-infection of the body due to damage to the immune system and brain, which will affect everything in the body. It will be akin to AIDS - the duration of the disease will increase with the presence of brain damage. If now they can be sick for up to 3 weeks with symptoms of acute respiratory viral infections and brain damage, then soon it may reach up to a year or more. You have the destruction of neurons that need to be restored, do not let the virus asymptomatically destroy the brain and then the treatment will become effective and you will begin to accelerate to recovery plus good nutrition, clean air and a lot of rest for the nervous system, which is undermined. If you are carefree after recovery, you will not wear a respirator ( 3М VFlex 9152R / FFP2) and get sick with coronavirus again, then for you it will be an even greater depletion of the reserves of neurons and it will not be easy to get rid of the virus, since there will be a long self-infection until the weakened immune system builds up enough antibodies and other particles. Soon, most people will not be able to get rid of the virus and the consequences just like that.... use the time to rebuild yourself and, if successful, teach others. I wish you Siberian health. With best wishes from the shores of Lake Baikal.

The NIH study found that there was no evidence of long-term COVID-19 infection in patients who were six or more weeks removed from the onset of symptoms, even if those patients reported that they were experiencing “long COVID.” Further, the study found that individuals who reported having long COVID were disproportionately women and individuals with history of anxiety disorders.

Please do not dismiss the suffering me and many others are going through or have gone through. This has been life-changing for many. The reason there is no evidence of long-term infection is because nobody yet knows what causes it in the first place, therefore there are no tests for long covid yet. Long covid sufferers are not infectious, which is probably what this study was trying to show. It is possible to rule out other things, which is how we know it exists. I've had it for 5 months now, and all my tests are normal. This isn't a new concept, viral persistence has been reported for a long time now, especially with Ebola. The only reason long covid has been publicised so much is because the virus spread on such a large scale

You are still pretending it isn't happening. Wake up you lunatic, we have never had so many young healthy people develop chronic sickness and disability, yet you are here spreading misinformation to suit your nutty agenda. It also suggests that beefing up funding for NATO is unwarranted wrt to Russia, whose military is only. as large one of its larger EU members. I understand that Germany needs to work on their own military but expanding NATO out lays seems ridiculous. The longer term worry is the massive realignment wrt to China etc that is underway. Much needs a rethink.

I would say that at the moment, beefed up spending for arms is quite justified, particularly for those arms that are being sent to Ukraine. As for recognizing that China has its own expansionist territorial ambitions, yes, the rest of the world needs to plan to counter that as well.
