I have their deluxe 1851, it is indeed worth the extra money.

I agree. I've got a Pietta 1858 Remington Navy and it's no where close to the same quality out of the box. I wish Longhunter offered more guns for sale.

All Gun Smithing is"Amature!" if you are Not Paid! But Not All Gun Smithing is "Professional" or Worth the Price, No Matter the Price Paid. I built my 1st 1858 Kit from scratch to blued and fired at age 11 to 12 in 1976, just finished re working, bluing, wood work, and electroplating a reproduction springfield riffled musket. Hobby yes! "Guaranteed" I pay more atten to detail, have more time to Give, and Want to Learn More than ANY PRO, or You will Pay for their Education and Attention! I Know this fact to be Self Evident as I Am a Journeyman of Multipal Trades and was Well Paid to "Learn" each One! mistakes and All, I still got Paid Well. As a man on a Journey of Discovery, you said something I heard. I will check my cylinder dia to forcing cone to be shure my projectile is "Forced" into the lands and groves, but lead is very malleable while under pressure? Spinning up my ball mill now with a new Batch, Recipe, and Technique. Keep chasing the Dragon! Keep Your Smoke Poles SMOKING!! and your Powder Dry! Thanks for Planting new Ideas!! and thoughts! Thanks Again.
