Come to Switzerland :D We have mandatory military, you get a full auto sg550 with only ironsights. Yet our standard practice distance for shooting is 330yds or 300 meters :)

@@MazzaJ well it's the purest of aim training right? Sights are a big help and special forces use them here. Heck dude I woulda loved to put a sight on my rifle, but Iron sights also give you a very good overview of whats around without any zoom or a bright red dot disrupting your vision around the target.

establish MOA or Mil. front sight dimensions (vertically and horizontally) relative to rear sight (windage is front sight to eye), then match to a ballistics program and interpolate 200-yd. hold along front sight vertically and horizontally...at least in theory 🙂

How are you able to see the target as the distances increase. My vision is 20/20 with my contacts yet I wonder this often?

@@MazzaJ In switzerland we do 330yd shooting with ironsights in military. You get like a tunnelvision focus, it looks harder than it is, just need to try it and put in some work :)

Reminds me of when I was a kid . We would put a coke bottle lid on a tree with a nail at 100 yards and see who could hit it with a 22 rifle iron sights . We hit it alot. Amazing what young eyes can do . We had rifles that we had shot for years though . That watch shot was excellent old school marksmanship . I would be lucky to hit the tree todayLOL

you must have the eyes of an eagle, I can hit consistently inside 6" at 200 with irons but I barely see a blurry dot, at 600 I imagine I wouldn't see a thing

I shot at 185 yards two days ago with my CZ 457 Jaguar (.22lr) iron sights. I put 20/20 into a 12x18 inch paper target
