Mike is a beast on the gun. We don't get to take those super long range shots down here in Georgia. Too many pine trees. I still want one of those rifles. Thinking about lr1000 in 28 nosler. We are planning a trip to Alaska next fall.

If you're a practiced shooter, IF you put in the range time, then it's a personal call of the shooter. No, not for me. I have no way of shooting/ practicing at those ranges. I also don't have the 12K for one of their rifle packages. ** For these guys, on an international hunt where they can't spend endless time hunting (the hunt with airfare and extras thrown in like hotels, food, they went for 10K) , so shooting that far may be what's called for. I'd love to learn to shoot that far, but again, I have no way of practicing what I learned

John Harrison no it aint. Takes skill and know how. Hell I shoot wild pigs out 500m with both the .308 and .300win mag.

We use the 7 LRM a lot but we've also been using 6.5-284 and achieving great results. It just depends on the application...
