Yeah it's not easy. I've had type one for 11 years. Daily exercise really does help and feels good, eating and managing also but it can be hard to keep the routine

Read about the keto diet and consider doing it, but with a doctor's supervision. If you kidneys are at stage 3 or less, then their may be a chance to reverse the damage and cure you of type 2 diabetes. If you are late stage kidney disease and need dialysis or need it soon, ask a family member to donate a kidney. At that point, you are in God's hands. Good luck sir.

At 46 years old my brother is waiting to die because he quit dialysis. The "food" he ate was full of junk full of sugar, polyunsaturated fats and artificial ingredients yet my aunt says it's genetic and you can eat whatever you want. This is the true pandemic no one is talking about. Mexico has the highest rate of diabetes and is the number one consumer of soda.

Don’t you think that someone should sue these food corporations for even infecting people with pesticides or food colour soda

Is all of this applicable for a five year-old just diagnosed as type one diabetic😢😢😢Or will he learn to manage his sugar better than a type two diabetic like me his grandfather who is set in my ways and change comes hard?
@Acts-1322
@Acts-1322 9 ай бұрын
Yes. If you treat him as a type 2 with plenty of exercise for Glucose sensitivity & you control his carbs/added sugars (especially avoiding "beverages" & ultraprocessed food "products" in a bag or a box or a bottle with a barcode)... he'll do great. Let him sit in front of electronics, eat machine-made, powderized & glued back together junk with additives & preservatives, then no. He'll be sick. Just like 88% of America 😢

Men are very stubborn sometimes . Be an example to him by eating next to him what he should be eating . Help him with reducing the portions as well : take one spoon off from his plate of what he is accustomed to eat . Reduce how many tines he eats . No more snaking . More gentle walking at least once a day . Maybe with you or a friend . More entertainment . Plenty of water no more fruit juices or sodas . I love that you care about your dad ! Tell him that it worries you that he has diabetes . That may make him change his eating habits . It is very hard though . I am a sufferer and we are all on the same boat unfortunately

The devastating complications that can lead to death or severe disability in diabetes - most of them are alluded to hyperglycemia. The extremely dangerous "no-no" disease--Fouriner's gangrene, which like electrical arc flash can kill you, can happen with uncontrolled diabetes, My guess is that the blood sugar (usually if uncontrollably high) could block blood flow to the perineum and possibly throw off the good/bad bacteria balance, leading to the risk of necrotizing fasciitis in that no-no area. You don't want to have Fournier's period! It will ruin your life--diabetic or not!!!!!!!
