Another great video Matt! What an interesting concept, especially one that one might not consider when planning long term travel. Your tips are very practical and seem effective. See you in my upcoming travels pal!

Hey Matt, I've been really looking forward to your next video. Although this wasn't what I expected it was still interesting. Thank you for the insight, although we've never travelled long enough to encounter this situation it's good to be aware of the possibility of it. Can't wait to see your next adventure camping in the new full on camper build 😎

Thanks! I'm itching to get the camper out on some adventures. We've been super busy moving out of our sailboat in California to our new home in Mexico. I've got one more trip back to California planned in 2 weeks to move Amie's massage equipment down. I'm definitely going to be planning some trips this winter

I think you have to make it meaningful in that your travel has to have some type of purpose or reason or goal. And once you achieve this, you set another purpose/reason/goal. For me that could be understanding the history of an area, following the path of an explorer, or simply completing an iconic trail.

Yeah. That's super good! We always had a reason for our destinations (surf spot, cenote, waterfall, ruins) we were trying to get to, but no overarching goal to our travels. We just kinda meandered around to different, unrelated locations based on their proximity to the previous destination. I can definitely see how having goals that took a couple weeks to complete instead of a couple days would keep the travel-fire stoked. 👍

Hey ya folks! I have reached out in the past asking for destination ideas. Was hoping you could reccomend a town in either Mexico or somewhere in Central America that would be chill, not too touristy and ocean side. Will be traveling likely by first plane then bus. Also hoped to camp. Thank you so much and looking towards to more of your adventures. Cheers ; Justin from Canada :)

Hi Justin, Sounds like you're planning a cool trip! Places that came to mind: San Blas, Mexico La Ticla, Mexico Mahahual, Mexico Playa Gigante, Nicaragua Just make sure you aren't there during a national holiday if you want it chill. Every accessible beach becomes a party during Semana Santa 😅

I have a 96 SR5 T100... have you had any issues with oil leaks on your 3.4?
@TheTravelingTogetherJournal3 ай бұрын
Yeah. I have 3 vehicles with 3.4 engines and all three leak from the valve covers. not enough to need any oil between oil changes, but enough to be messy on the cylinder heads.
