6:02 Sometimes I use the camera like this when I am photographing something and I’m not trying to hide how I am recording video also, but most of the time I want first person discrete shooting and this draws way too much attention. I clip the camera to my belt, which returns the view I want more discreetly, and the camera is less noticeable.

I have the older go2. It's super convenient and easy to use. Can't complain as it's so easy to use. The go3 has a better pod but the go2 pod is easier to use as it just has a record button and setup button. You need to use your phone to review footage, but that's not bad as it's a distraction that takes away from using the camera and enjoying the situation. Great review as usual. Thanks

hey Barry, I have to say i don't really review footage much on the GO3 action pod. Not sure why, maybe because the screen is a bit small (because of the size of the action pod) I mostly use the screen it for checking framing before/while I shoot, or change settings, which i do find is really handy

hey Midhun, thanks for watching. It took me a while to decide if it's worth buying this camera or not, but now after using it for almost a year, despite some of the flaws I think it's worth it!

I have had the Go 3 for about a year. While I like the concept, I'm very disappointed with a few issues. The audio at times doesn't sync with the video, especially if recording more than 5 mins on 1440p; the camera doesn't make a proper connection with the action pod and causes problems; the webcam mode give a very bad image compared to other action cams. The audio issue is the dealbreaker though and was reported by many and I believe it was ignored by Insta360. So while I like the innovation of Insta360, I have avoided their products since.

Oh that audio sync issue doesn’t sound good. Can’t say I gave noticed it myself but you got me curious to test it out myself with both the go3 and go3s and see if I can reproduce it

hey ttbirds, i just did a test last night, i recorded using both the Go3 and Go3S continuously at the maximum resolution with each camera. I recorded continuously for about 40+ minutes and didn't notice any drift at all even at the end of the clips. Maybe give it a try again and see if you still have this issue? i did update the firmware to latest on both cameras.

The shorter battery run time on the GO 3S is probably due to the 4k recording.

Yes if I am recording 4k then I can understand that, but I was recording in 2.7k on both cameras when I did the battery test. However I am wondering if the 2.7k on the go3s is oversampling from 4k. If that's the case that may also explain the extra battery consumption even if the final output is 2.7k

I have been playing with other cameras. Not expensive one. I wount where can use a nother battery for charging why recording. I wount small.

Not really, I think it's a great idea. But current specs is like the first gen GO. Only 60 seconds max video clip, can't shoot landscape video, only 1080p, you won't use it dark indoor place or nighttime. You can't mount it on metal surface, glass surface, or put on a tripod. We may need to wait 2 or 3 more gen to catch the GO3S flexiblity and features.

i think the Rayban Meta glasses has the potential to be best POV camera. But right now the spec and technology isn't quite there yet. It would be interesting to see if Meta keep pushing it or not.
