This is an amazing lesson. It even looks like it was filmed in 1975. Definitely adds to the authenticity.

I personally love the fact he sings as part of the lesson, it really makes it clear how its supposed to be done. this was Excellent!!

Outstanding lesson!! I use to play this in a band in the 70's but it never really sounded right. we were missing chords.. Of course we had to learn it by listening to the LP and try our best but now I see what we were doing wrong... only took 45 years... haha Thank you

Where is this guy? He stopped making video in 2011. I found only 3 of his videos. We surely miss him for his teaching quality and the beauty of his voice.

Boy this dude is GOOD ! Posted 2011 ... wonder what he is doing today ... obviously a Pro ... I am guessing he is with a band somewhere. His teaching is just perfect .. as if born to teach ... and I am a youtube guitar lessons addict .. I watch 'em all for at least a decade now.

I have watched several tutorials for this song. I must say that your explanation of the voicing of the first chords is far and away the best I have seen. I was able to master the strumming within minutes of watching your explanation. A great tutorial. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Troy, this is the way most tutorials should be. It helps to really clarify the exact fingerings with the diagram displayed. Hope you find the time to do more tutorials soon! I like the way you kept it very straight forth and deliberate.

I love this guy. when I first started learning guitar 8 years ago (not knowing a damn thing), the first songs I learned were iron man and born to be wild taught by him on Comcast on demand. I owe a great debt to this guy for putting me right into the action.

Its always good sign to see you play the song first and then do the lesson. Alot of people on KZbin have fake lessons and cant play. This wad an awesome cover at the end.

tommy is probably the best tutor on video. thank you for posting this lesson, my brother in law has had it for years and would not lend it to me and i've searched all that time for it on you tube. actually this is the first lesson of tommy's that i've seen on you tube.

Unfortunately the wood panelling, plastic plants and reference to Hanson, indicate this video is from around up to 20 years ago. Would be good to see a few more lessons from this guy. Even a beginner could, with a bit of honest practice, nail this song, after watching this vid. Clear and concise, easy to follow, and plenty of emphasis where it's needed. Lessons don't get much better than this.
