Yes, truth on that... you can dial in G&L's to do Ric and Fender 70's old school grit perfectly.

I think the middle switch is series/parallel, and the back switch is preamp bypass/on/treble boost. Sounding good man!

Yeah, I own one. Its pickup selector, series/parallel, and passive/active/active with treble boost. Knobs are volume, mid, and bass.

Also, the bass and treble controls are passive, cut only, the same as the L-1000. Leo had designed the Stingray which had a boost only preamp but must have decided the MFD pickups didn't need it. If you get the chance try the M-2000/2500 which has less hot MFD pickups paired with G&Ls 18 volt preamp. Killer playing btw!

I have the last production model Leo put out before going back home....L-5000. It's a 5 string w sickle headstock. A real rare bird w huge low end! It's his only 5 string he designed.

Yep and I bought it...blueburst though. Just gigged with it on NYE...Fantastic! He has the switches wrong, but you get the idea. Neck side switch is pickup selector, middle is single coil/series and bridge side is passive/active/treble boost
