In this video i'm trying one of the cheapest nail kits I found on Amazon. I was able to find these Apres dupes by Tomicca. Let's see if this kit is any good.

I can’t believe I never noticed this before, but I saw you didn’t put the nail alllllll the way up to your cuticle. This probably explains why I always get gel on my skin and then get a ledge when they grow out. 🤦‍♀️I’m going to try your method next time I use full cover nails so I can blend them in the back and hopefully they will look more natural! ❤️

I have always put mine tight to the cuticle and then use e-file. I have had no lifting. I have only used Apres nails.

I usually push mine underneath the cuticle, so once they grow out after 2-3 weeks, they only start showing the outgrowth a little, but un reality they still look like a fresh manicure. I still need to take them all off anyways, because that's the time when they'd start lifting off bit by bit (not all of them, but 1 or 2 are enough for me 😅). This may not be healthy though

Thank you for testing out all of these kits. I’m a nail tech, but I have been using these gel kits for over 2 years. I absolutely love it. They are affordable, quick, and newbie friendly. I have never had a bad set unless I did something wrong. To give them the thickness I prefer, I use a brush on builder gel. I used to use a rhinestone gel that was fabulous. Either way, I now have a system and do my nails every 3-4 weeks. I’m in a facility where I can’t use acrylic. I really need to start practicing with polygel and step my game up.

@@ashj8739 I actually use Beetles builder gel. You have to cap the tip and take a thin layer over the sides to create a seal. The rhinestone gel is BelleBoost. Usually comes two in a pack with stones and gold charms. It’s not perfect, but it works.

Ive had my nails done at the salon every 2 weeks for past 5 years. I JUST stopped cuz it was just gettin FAR too expensive! Right now Ive been trying press ons but ugh, they just arent strong and they just end up breaking..its awful! Im searching for something stronger, closer to the strength of my acrylics. Do the type of nails in this video hold up well or are they flimsy? I NEED something. Not having nails is the worst! Its even hard to type now with no nails haha! Any info would be great! I love this brand’s tips! They have a short/medium ballerina type shape (coffin but more thin toward the tip) which is quite hard to find!

Thanx again for Your tip about those tips 🙏🏼😅 I used them today and I absolutly love love love them! Exactly what I was looking for. They are straight and not curved and just like You said coffin but thin towards the tip 🥰🤩 I glued them on with a little gap to the cuticle area. I smoothed the transition with the buffer. After the first coat of Shellac there was no visible transition. best nail tips ever

True or to have options to do either plus it's CHEAP.. one set is that price and doesn't come with glue. Pain for me that's for sure when i can't stand short nails and don't want to start being a nail bitinf person again from anxiety. Nails have kept me good for years and also gives me something to do when I do them.

yeah with the newer stuff dont have to put a base oat on. I use it and my nails hold strong. and I'm a welder by trade so they go through some stuff on ruff days at work.

I recently got the Ecbasket kit that’s very similar to this kit and I looove it! The base gel is thicker than this kits and the lamp has an off button which l also love lol So much easier than polygel 😊

That file is an emery board file, they're supposed to be thin 😊 they are great to be able to reach tight side walls and stuff like that, I also like to prep the natural nail with those type of files 🥰

LOL I got this set and I actually love it! I used a pink rubber builder base to kind of protect my nails. I didnt get any burning when I used the gel that came with the set. When I tell you every nail was going in a different direction SMH. My fingers were def throwing up g signs. All in all i really loved them. I need to order a clamp to hold it down when it goes in the lamp. They feel really secure also, even with the rubber base I put down first. I messed one up putting it on, super crooked, it was relatively easy to take off. The nail melted in 15 min using acetone, cotton and foil wrapped around my finger. This made doing my nails so easy. I'm so happy you made this tutorial! Thank you Thank you!

I have watched your videos for a while and they inspired me to finally try a nail kit! I applied full coverage tips for the first time and was surprised at how tricky it was! It was hard to keep get the ball straight, hard to not flood the cuticle, preventing nail bubbles, cleaning the cuticle before curing, etc. Can you do a video on tips and tricks for doing this for best results!? I bought the gelike gelly nail kit and I have a horrible time keeping nails on. So far the gelike 6 in 1 nail glue with gelly tips are amazing. Totally recommend trying this kit. As a trained gel tech it’s great that the tips have lasted a couple weeks for you, but even when the instructions omit etching, you should always do it or scrub with primer. Gel has trouble bonding too shiny surfaces no matter what they may be. You may have good luck sometimes and have them last and others they may have breakdowns because of this…. So best too just always prep too make sure the bond is good no matter what.
