I think Texas and OSU are very similar in that for most of the year the play on the field really didn't live up to the talent on the roster. OSU looks to have found that gear, while Texas looks to still be waiting to play their best game.

I watched the entire game vs ASU twice and I’m telling you as a Buckeye I saw some of the same frustrating crap we’ve seen from our staff. If Horns play ASU 10x, they win 9/10 by 20+. This was a one-off game where your coaches didn’t put your players in the best positions. I really think Sark was tryna limit tape and extra work knowing he might have two more games and this was their easiest team (we did this same thing a few times, including TTUN and teams with pride will bite you). That’s good for us but also kinda scary. I pray our staff doesn’t read too much into thar game. That’s not the Texas team we’re gonna see. We’re gonna see the Texas team that slayed Bama last year, where our guy (we still love him) Quinn was nails. We’re getting 4th and 14 Quinn. I’m confident we can get the job done, but we better be ready to battle for 4 quarters!

Good observation. I had that feeling too about the limited playbook. The plays we scored on are plays we have run multiple times in the past. But also, lots of other plays we normally run or could run that are normally explosive weren’t run for some reason. Us barely using Blue and Isiah Bond isn’t normal, as an example.

Travis - welcome to the team! We are so very glad you are now a Longhorn. By the way, Austin is in Travis county - named after a hero of the Alamo! Cheers!

If we can't at least run for 80 yards to keep the defense honest, not sure we win. Go Longhorns 🤟

Go get a&m receiver Noah Thomas in portal. Will help solve red zone issues with tds..reminds me of mitchell last year..
@Nunya_Argo79Күн бұрын
Red Zone issues could be solved by either going more north/south running the ball or utilizing our beast of a TE. I also think Shannon at 6'7 if he can come on, could be a mis match next season, too. Especially in the red zone.

Travis Shaw is a great addition, after missing out on the young man from UCF. To go a long with Brevard, January, Hills and the 3 Fr coming in. I'm hoping to see us land at least 2 more guys, if we can. I have faith in Baker to get it done and get these guys raring to go in 2025.

I think you guys have a decent handle on OSU, but one of the glaring things I heard today was that this OSU receiver group isn’t as good as Washington’s last year. I would very strongly disagree. Penix had 555 attempts last year. Howard only has 369 this year. Comparing counting stats is not a great way to judge them. Emeka Egbuka and Carnell Tate are 1st round draft picks at WR. This might be the best group of receivers OSU has ever started.. and it wasn’t that long ago that they started Olave, Wilson and Smith-Njigba.

I hope we get some more guys who are 6,4”, 344, and run 4.44.

To be fair, ND hasn't won a natty since 1988 and Penn St was 1986 so they're really not blue bloods anymore.

Ya'll do realize, we lost to the Georgia Bulldogs by only one point. That was back when they were good and we almost beat 'em and that was without a defense.
