The blue dial one looks really good. Longines really have some good designs out there and they are very affordable, more so second hand. super value for money.

Belated congrats on the watch :) I have the 40mm white dial. Best bang for the buck if you just want to have as many complications as possible for the price. Plus you get the column wheel chronograph, which feels super nice with the snappy pushers. I bought the bracelet version, but I swapped a blue alligator strap on it to match the blued hands and it's a thing of absolute beauty. And yes sir, this was the first watch that I justified buying a winder for also, lol.

Nice watch , just ordered the blue 40mm with blue leather strap and as luck would have it , the jewellers have given me a wolf watch winder as a free gift with the watch . Can’t wait to wear it , it arrives tomorrow 😊

@@TheTimekeeper received it this morning but the leather strap is too small , I can only get the last hole but the jewellers are going to contact longines to get me a larger replacement strap so fingers crossed. The watch is beautiful though 👍

I've been on the fence for one of these for a while now. The bracelet is really nice expect for being pins and lacking half-links or micro adjustment. Also, the tiny sub-seconds hand is funny to watch, and as a complete calendar you still have to adjust the date 5 times a year. (I hope you figured this out before buying the winder. Even a true annual calendar needs adjusted for March 1st.) As the same base ETA 7751 movement is used for the Speedmaster with 3606 movement, I'd be more inclined to get that instead. Still, a great value - getting a complete calendar and column-wheel chronograph for under $4k.

Can someone inform me about setting the date functions between 19.00-6.00 hours? Why is that? What can happen? And is this just for setting the weekdays (mon-sun? Or also for the day of the month hand? Thanks for explaining!

Great unboxing! I actually purchased my 40mm black dial from Prestige Time as well, with the same back story as yours! Under two grand for the piece of kit offered is just shocking to me. I personally think it could very much be my 1 and done watch, since my grail piece is a Patek 5204 and well, the MSRP is about the average price of a house in my city! I went with the 40 because I like how compact the overall look and feel is, not only because I have 16cm wrists but also how it’s more in line with the Longines heritage, since most high complication calendar Chronograph were in 36/37mm. From a high horological perspective, it has everything that you’d think of in both function and finishing techniques. The movement alone has perlage, Geneva stripes, a bit of mirrored beveling accents near the thermal blue column wheel. I do have one comment about the calendar function. This technically isn’t an annual calendar, since the date function doesn’t differentiate between 30/31 day months. It’s technically a triple/complete calendar movement with a moonphase. Keep up the great content!

Question is prestige time legit? They have quite a few watches and the watch that I am looking for a discounted price. Please let me know your experience.
@dennissmith61022 жыл бұрын
I was wondering if you could tell me how long it takes the date pointer on your watch to advance to the next date (ie going from the 5th to the 6th for example). On mine when the time hands hit midnight the date pointer hand starts to move but the time hands have to move about an hour before the date pointer hand goes completely to the new date. Is that how your watch handles the change of the date?
@TheTimekeeper2 жыл бұрын
On mine, the pointer date behaves the same and changes to the next day completely before 1am around 12:45am.

Nice review. I picked up the 40mm version after seeing your review. I would also like to get a leather strap for it. Do you have a recommendation on where I could get one with a deployment clasp at a reasonable price. I looked on the Longines site and they were really expensive.
@TheTimekeeper2 жыл бұрын
I think you can buy a deployant (longislandwatch.com/dfpb-ss-deployant-clasp-deployssp/) to adapt any leather strap you buy. I usually buy from Holben's (holbensfinewatchbands.com/).

Hello guys! Can you let the chronograph on this watch run continously? Somebody experience with that for a couple of years? Thanks for the responses! Regards, Olaf
@TheTimekeeper11 ай бұрын
Personally, I wouldn’t run it all the time. It will create unnecessary wear and tear on the movement.
@olafspronk54011 ай бұрын
@@TheTimekeeper Thanks, but having the 'big' seconds-hand run at any time would look great of course. How is this wear for the small seconds-hand? Or should you use another watch if I would like a continuous running seconds-hand, and not a chronograph watch?

@TheTimekeeper2 жыл бұрын
No issues to report. It’s been great. My only complaint is the bracelet and the lack of micro adjustment so it’s so either a little big or too tight on me. I might have gone with the 40mm since it’s on the big side and it’s quite heavy so you really feel it on wrist. I got the 42mm for legibility purposes since there was so much going on on the dial. I think it’s a tremendous value.
