You cannot FIRE the County Clerk. He is an elected official. His only boss(es) are the people. He is not responsible to any other other county official (except maybe the judge, who also can't fire him) and he does not report to the County Manager, either. He has certainly proven that doesn't belong in that office, but only the PEOPLE can force him out on election day. If they want him out sooner, there are legal ways of doing it. But nobody can just fire him.

They all benefit in way, shape or form from the corruption and would be at a distinct disadvantage in accordance with their current policies and policing models to give up that advantage of arbitrary force they have against the public at large. The options and solutions are not easy, and it is not a level playing field. So more exposure is always needed to reach a critical mass that results in capitulation of the so-called "authorities". It doesn't matter if that is through peaceable means or otherwise. Until that watershed is reached, you just have to keep pushing ahead, exposing them and their misconduct.

I did a followup visit to Franklin County on 03/17/2022 ; at that time Cassavaw took down those signs at my insistence. I was on the agenda on the County Legislators meeting that day, and explained our 1st & 4th Amendment rights to them and the County Attorney. I posted on both the original thread and on Auditing Erie County's thread from 3 days ago. I am currently awaiting some communication from Franklin County. Here are a couple tidbits: 1) Cassavaw JUST won an award as 'County Clerk of the Year';, 2) 'Jerry' is now a School Resource Officer. More to come as I get back into this situation.

I called the county clerk’s office to ask if the unconstitutional signs were left down or put back up as soon as the auditor left. The first unprofessional county employee just hung up. I was very civil and polite. The second marginally more professional civil servant replied have a nice day and hung up. The last and perhaps only professional employee in the office did answer my simple question and replied that the signs have remained down. Wish I was closer to find out myself.
