Always take the awning down the afternoon before we leave

You are spot on with the awning taking up the time. We have an air canopy which goes up and down pretty quick but still takes about 20 mins to drop and pack away. But the main problem with awnings is the stuff you have in it and have to pack away. If you didn’t have an awning then touring would be better than a motorhome because you have the car to run about in. It only takes about 5 mins to hook up we back car up to van then use motor mover to put van onto car. Ps Happy New Year to you and Mandy.

Brilliant vlog one your best . Festival of lights is really great ( only if you can afford it ) . We went to Longleat many moons ago , so no good news on phone reception then . When we went it was the Chinese lights ,and the evening before it started we wandered down the lane ( as you do ) walked in had a terrific hour and a half before security said excuse me sir , ok ok fair cop ! Super freeby what more do you was ? - - - ah yes WiFi .😘 thanks for video thoroughly enjoyed it 🚐👍

we were at longleat over christmas on there was only 10 vans there including ours lol, on the camc new booking site, on the deposit page scroll down after putting in the amount u want to pay and there is a box that has a tick in it, UNTICK the box and then u can pay ur balance on arrival, as it says in the box that if u leave the tick ur final payment will automaticly taken befor arrival, so i make sure now that i UNTICK that box only noticed that when i was booking longleat for next christmas, i have the E&P, so much easier and quicker to set up, enjoy using it next time ur out in the van

As Sparky Mark has said, system appears to default but you can untick when you book. We only realised it obviously auto opts you in when we arrived at Poolsbrook….cash in hand….to be told “money already taken”!. Great vlog…we love your humour 😉..Helen & Mark

The festival of lights looks good but very expensive! I read some bad reviews for Longleat Club Site, about Non-members walking through the site. This put me off from going but I guess it is dependent on when you go in the season. Plus if the signal and WiFi are terrible too! Hope you had a nice time away! P.s I think that your business idea is great 😂

On the new booking pages there is a tickbox about taking the payment automatically. It’s right at the end of the booking process. Can’t remember whether you tick it or untick it but I’m sure it is set to automatic by default. Very easy to miss which they should probably address. I’m hoping it’s first steps towards eventually not having to stop and wait to check-in when you arrive. I never understand why I am in and out in 2 minutes while everyone I queue behind seems to take half an hour each.

A motorhome and a big caravan towcar do similar mpg. When you get there, the motorhomers will be touring around in a small economical car, the caravanners will still be running around in their big gas guzzling towcar. Which does the most harm?
