This is a movie that was made for $10 million and last I looked in the theaters (not counting streaming or when it comes out on Bluray and DVD later this month), the film has so far taken in $103 million. This is a movie that had barely any advertising. I never saw a single commercial on TV. I saw it online and saw the trailer and decided I wanted to see it.

If you like low-key atmospheric horror with a pervading sense of dread, you should dig it. If you're looking for an intricately-plotted police procedural, this probably won't scratch that itch. There *is* an investigative element, but it takes a backseat to the creepy vibes.

It's worth a watch. But, this movie COULD have been a 10/10. I fervently dislike when "ambiguity" is one of the foundations of a film. And, for this film, IT IS. After the movie, you'll have 100 questions that have no concrete answer other than, "Well, that's up for the viewer to decide!" Feels cheap & lazy.

That was my favorite part of the movie, because Longleg's cavalier attitude suggests that he's entirely unbothered, even when his plan didn't see it's completion. You'll notice also that it isn't a flashback, but an entirely new scene altogether. To me, this is Longlegs in spirit being so confident that he mocks his own death, saying the same last words before ending it with a saucy wink and a kiss instead of banging his head against the table because he's had his way, made his sacrifices, got off scott free, and still persists in spirit. It suggests that he knows something that no one else does, and he is unafraid because of it, which is an excellent end to an enigmatic character

I don't understand how come the fathers killed their families. Was Longlegs' "evil magic" real ? I don't get it and because I don't get it, I was left "unfulfilled, unenlightened, unsatisfied" with the ending of Longlegs. BOO !!! I do not like this movie

It doesn't do much. That blonde carrie ann girl at the psych ward still was under the satanic influence and she still killed herself.
