@@sammiesnyder it's not something that bothered me, it wasn't your stereotypical well lit big american houses. So it felt 'right'

Bros straight lying through his teeth, they do have jump scares and loud music , literally first scene of the movie has a jump scare

The tension and story makes it scary, not the sound or visuals. At least for me.
