AFFILIATE LINK DISCLOSURE: Friends, making a quality Loloho video is kind of like making sausage - only slightly more violent. It's a ridiculous amount of work that typically involves high dollar camera drops, blue-screen-of-death computer crashes, and at least one angry shotgun wielding old man shouting, “Hey! Get the hell outta here!” Once the final video is posted, rewards here on KZbin are few and far between (unless you are a masochist who enjoys being verbally abused by anonymous trolls). One saving grace is our affiliate links. JUST CLICKING THESE LINKS HELPS TO SUPPORT OUR LITTLE SHOW. Think of this clicking as like tipping - except that it doesn't cost you anything extra! If you eventually make a purchase via one of our affiliate links, we will receive a few pennies (and Sean typically invests these pennies in duct tape and video gear). Again, it doesn't cost you anything to click these links, and it's a great help to us. As always, safe travels, happy camping, and THANK YOU!

I live in Louisville, KY. That is exactly what a rural Kentuckian does. They will take the shirt off their back to help you out. Now downtown Louisville, Lexington and some other bigger towns you won’t see that as much. Richmond is a college town (Eastern KY Univ). So people are very hospitable to visitors. Glad everything worked out. Very proud of him and my home state! Be Blessed!

One of best episodes of Loloho ever. Why? Simple, the power of God to get you in touch with wonderful people, who only wish to bless you. Your truck died, but you got the perfect tow truck driver. The dealership was willing to work with you, and with Bullet Proof Diesel. Can't under score that. Bullet Proof Diesel sending you a FCIM overnight. The dealership allowing their staff to install that FICM (which did not come from Ford's parts stock). God has blessed you and your travels. Thank you for being real, showing what can go wrong, and how God wants to fix those issues for us. Thank you Shawn and Kristy. Thank you for showing us both the Ups and Downs of travel. Hope one day to meet you both.

What a great story, thanks for sharing. In 7+ years of full time travel, we've had our share of hiccups along the road, but in each instance, there has always been an Elvis there to help. It's a great reminder that 99.9% of humanity are just great people. Thanks!

Great video telling the story. Been in your shoes. My truck left us down in Live Oak Florida. Had a service tech that went above and beyond to help us after hours and drive us where we needed to get for parts in his personal car. He was an angel for sure. We’ll never forget Billy.

What a great story! Breaking down is simply part of the adventure. We broke down in Mona Utah this weekend on our way home to Arizona from Yellowstone National Park. One of my favorite episodes. I like the idea of the fall trips to college games. Back, way back, in the mid-80s I flew a trip into Lexington. There was an RAF BAE-146 parked neaby and we were told by airport staff that members of the British royal family were in town looking for horses.

Yup, Buckees attacked us too on our first trip from Maryland to Nevada this past Spring. Rear right wheel of the car fell off after visiting Buckees in Tenn. Spent the night in a Walmart parking lot entertained by a roundly group of high school teenagers until midnight. On the bright side my brother was able to rescue us bringing us a brand new wheel after repairs were made to the hub.

Sean, thank you for the kind story about your time in KY. You and Christy are the last remaining genuine travel channel. There are many others, but time and commercialization have corrupted them. This story started with some unforeseen events but thanks to the kindness from strangers where you also demonstrated the old adage about the six degrees of connection. Everything in life goes in circles and this story shows that what you have put into the universe came back to not only resolve your problem but you were rewarded with riches but not the monetary kind.

Yes to the format. At the risk of sounding trite; Sometimes you just get lucky and when life hands you lemons, you make lemonade!" Lots of events occurred aligned to make this story. Sounds like a Reader Digest type of feel good story.. Despite all the negative news on the Networks, there are still a majority of good people out there; just not headline news.
