🎮 Comment This game was heavily altered for the non lit GBA that came out first. The result is that on any better screen the colors look just awful. Really no match for the SNES Version. There is a Hack out there that fixes the color palette though. Additional stuff was added to this port like a fishing and a dance minigame. There is also a new Intro now. Also you can now collect pictures in different ways. I forgot one stupid picture and one Kong letter in this run, but I got them later offscreen so I can show the whole scrapbook in the end.

As somenone who grew and play the GBA version first,i kinda agree about the color. Something about the color dynamic in the SNES is way better,but i guess why GBA choose that because,well....The light of the handheld are not that bright.

Even though I grew up with the SNES versions, I love the GBA ones. Lots of additions, collectibles and extra modes. Probably my favorite game of all time!

One of the best games I used to own and play when I was 6. Sometimes I played it in my room, at my backyard, at the park, and sometimes during bedtime before school. I just never thought I was a luckiest kid to be part of this Nintendo hysteria back then.

The intro essentially plays out the story from the original SNES manual. Also, part of the ending gives foreshadowing for the next game in the trilogy.

So, little known fact, in this iteration, and this iteration only, there was a hidden Warp barrel in the first aquatic stage (In Kongo Jungle) in the first alcove you could duck into with the Kroctopus rotating above it... It's in the wall in the bottom right of the alcove itself...

This GBA port is looking so good, a DKC games classic.

All three DKC games are good ports to the GBA, but they are still better suited for SNES. I always wanted Nintendo to make a GBA original DKC game, the same goes for a GBA exclusive SMB entry that never occurred, just SNES/NES ports there too, albeit ones with extra content.

I hope that Nintendo will release this version of dkc 2 the switch. I played all the dkc 🎮. I've been playing dk since I was a kid on my Atari 2600. I had all the dk 🎮 on my Atari 2600. On my wiiu I bought all the dk 🎮. I was happy that the switch had dk tropical freeze. I was also happy that the online services had the early dk games and all 3 dkc games. I'm still waiting 4 dk64. Dk is a great 🎮.

My favourite version of the game. I honestly don't think it looks that bad. Okay, it doesn't look as detailed as the SNES version, but it still looks great, and it's still a lot of fun. Hope you guys can do the other GBA DKC games as well.

Hey, LongplayArchive, since you've played _several_ games and posted them on KZbin, I have a question for you. Do you know any Wii U games where you go on a quest and wield a long weapon to swing with, like a staff or sword? Someone I know gave me their Wii U, having grown tired of it for their Switch, and I want to get a few games for it. Legend of Zelda would count, but I'm used to playing those games and want to try something new, especially where I don't really know the playable star. A bonus to my preference is my weapon knocking my foe backwards, not necessarily slicing or hammering them to the ground, if that makes sense. The way the defeated foe flies back is a cool effect onscreen.
