Very excited to finally have this controversial game uploaded. The concept of the game is very fun and unique but the common complaint that people have about it are the confusing controls. I was initially constantly messing up my actions such as kicking the ball when wanting to bounce it. Ironically I don't think a lot of the controls are actually necessary to make it through the game and this would've all probably been much better designed if the controls were made a little simpler with some level adjustments to allow for it. Don't get me wrong, it's a really fun little game when you get familiarized with it's clumsy controls but most of you will probably end up accidentally kicking the ball off platforms when trying to pick it up.. not to forget there's only limited lives. Important note: the PSX version tried to make a bunch of improvements and changed the story a bit to ready a sequel, which in the end got cancelled due to budgeting reasons! Bit of a sad story behind it

I feel old. I can't believe this game is 25 years old. I remember playing Glover when it came out.

I remember we rented this and expected it to suck. We loved it. Loved the medieval fantasy setting, loved the music, and loved glover and his mechanics. Wish i could go back to those days.

I first played this game almost 10 years ago on an extended family vacation. I only played it at first because I was bored, but ended up charmed by it.

How to play the game: A: jump(without ball)/slap ball B: bounce ball A+Z: Body Slam R: Locate Ball(without ball)/ Change ball form L: locate nearest Garibs(Cards)/ Stand on top of ball Z: somersault(without ball), let go of ball Story: Once upon a time in crystal kingdom, there's a wizard who lives in a castle who conducts potions to for... idk... and the crystals outside sits on the castle's pillars to maintain the kingdom's peace. However, the wizard mix up the wrong potions resulting in a explosion knocking the wizard down the chasm opened in the floor caused by the explosion and sending 1 glove into the cauldron, the other outside. The explosion also caused the crystals to fall and glover(the wizard's glove that became alive somehow) saved them by transforming them into pixar like balls. However, they were sent into 6 realms found around the kingdom. So glover need to go into the 6 realms. But is there anyone or anything that will stop him from doing this? The other glove that was sent into the cauldron also became alive became a villianous glove name cross stitch whom is to stop glover from succeeding in his mission. The main point of this game is to find the ball in each of the 6 realms. However, once he does find the ball, he needs to escort it back to the kingdom but that wont be easy since cross stitch will be laying traps and enemies on glover's path. Once glover finds the ball, you need to take it to the exit warp to get it out of there. However! You wont be back in the kingdom as cross stitch linked the levels. There are 3 levels and the enemy linked all of them meaning you wont be back at the kingdom with the ball. Instead, you will be transported to level 2 with the ball in hand rather then finding the ball again. However what cross stitch doesnt know is, once you transported to level 2, you can leave and come back at any time. However, due to cross stitch magic, the ball wont be with you. You can jump back in level 2 at any time. Things you can do in overworld: Well some things like: Chicken: found by one of the realms entrances. He will make a silly sound involving fart, burp, clucking, and 1 other sound. These sounds are ridiculously silly but they can be put in as cheat codes. Cheat codes can be entered anytime on the menu. All you do is open the menu then press one of the c buttons that matches with the sound. All of them are fixed sounds. Castle: only the ground level can be visited. Not much to do here. But once you recieve a ball from the realm, you need to take it back here in the fountain to restore the kingdom by a little and that opens one or 2 of the realms. Tuturial well: found by one of the realm entrances. Jump in to do the tuturial. (Note: the ball inside is only used for tuturial. You wont be able to take it outside). Anyways, once you beaten the boss level which is after level 3, the link is cut and you will be able to take it with you back to the fountain.

I actually kind of feel that way about it which is why I've wanted to play it for so long. Glover seemed to be one of those games almost everybody was familiar with but nobody was able to actually complete it. I had personally never played it until now but for years I was warned about the annoying controls

@@longplayarchive no kidding! Y’know I’ve always wanted to play glover myself seeing how fun the game looks on the n64 compared to the ps1 and PC. But even I myself wouldn’t complete the game seeing how it would be with the ball protecting and the controls and how very interesting the game can be for sometime. Pretty fun and interesting I must say.
