Sorry for the re-upload.. I forgot to cut out 30 minutes of fails lol :) This is Drome Racers, which is pretty much LEGO Racers 3. The game sucks and is more difficult than it should be. There's novice, intermediate and expert racing championships. Some only feature two race tracks whereas others might have like 6. Unfortunately the game doesn't have much variety as you'll just be playing the same courses constantly but with different routes or in reverse. The biggest problem with this game are the item pickups. There are seeking rockets and seeking drones which can be fired at you by racers who are on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th position. The AI is also smart enough to keep their item until you near the finish line. Often times you'll be playing great until somebody disables your car with a seeking drone on the last second... and if you survive that, there's possibly another one coming from the 3rd racer. There's not much you seem to be able to do about it other than to restart some racers for over an hour and hope you get lucky one time. One good thing I noticed is that you can restart each race individually so you don't have to re-do the entire championship. Another small annoyance was that you can't take sharp turns but have to repeatedly flick your joystick in the left or right direction. Taking too sharp of a turn will cause your car to just 180. Enemy cars also seem MUCH stronger than yours (even at maximum upgrades). For example, if an enemy car hits you, he can completely mess you up but if you hit an horizontal enemy car at the TIP of his hood at full speed, he doesn't even budge (it happened!!!). With these LEGO games is just always feels like all odds are against you and that really doesn't give a pleasurable experience. The only part I enjoyed might've been the challenges, as they were 1 on 1 so I breezed through them with only one or two deaths. It feels so much more relaxing to play when 2nd, 3rd and 4th racer aren't all collectively trying to kill you. Heck, I was even able to have a nice little revenge during the challenges by simply staying closely behind my 1-on-1 competitor whilst carrying a seeking pod and then just disabling his car a few meters before the finish line.

I loved this as a Kid, it has this strong 2000s Vibe with the Soundtrack and the overall design asthetic

This game is the absolute BOMB for kids, definitely was immersive for me. I recall struggling with the drag races though.

I played this when I was a child. And then again some months ago just to know how much nostalgia was behind it. It's still a decent game. I gotta say that Shicane's German voice actress did a better job :y

When I was a kid I never understood how to unlock the other tracks but my sister and I found a bug that let you to play tracks that you haven't unlocked. You need to put into multiplayer mode and when you go to select the track press A (gamecube) repeatedly with the two controllers and in a specific moment change the track to the left or right and the game will let you play in an locked track haha. So many memories playing this game when I was a kid with my sister.

Any idea how I can race with my custom cars? It's let you choose a car and even build one of your own, but when you want to race the car is always preselected.
