Actually, it's not really in character of him. Spoilers for Super Paper Mario, if anyone cares at this point, below: In Super Paper Mario, if you play as him when entering the Slammer Kingdom for the second time, he'll react to the destruction of the place (reduced to a blank white wasteland devoid of anything, save for a black line for the ground and some bleached out ruins here and there, as a result of the place being consumed by The Void, Bowser will literally say that it's overkill, even for him (while saying he's all for evil as well). Also, that sort of destruction would mean destroying his kingdom and subjects, as well as his son, in the process, which means he'd have less of a reason to in-character.

That Bowser fight might be one of the coolest Bowser fights I've seen, for both fangames and official. I mean hey, it tickles my autistic bone of having crossovers, heck this entire romhack does. But with things like the music fitting the character, the utilization of all the gimmicks, the atmosphere, and the stakes, all comes together to make a pretty cool Bowser boss. Also I'm pretty sure the second phase is supposed to be Gaster rather than Sans, taking a close look at the face and the fact the motif is Another Medium/CORE.
