Brilliant to see it finished, I think it looks excellent. It has to be the most stylish way to transport a trombone, ever! This project sets the standards very high for us other dads looking to make something for our kids. Well done, it's been a pleasure following the build.

Thank you so much for showing/explaining all the trials and tribulations that you went through paining the bike. It really gives so much more information for people who are trying to do the same thing. So often videos will just breeze through things and make it look too easy and not show some pitfalls that can happen. Also, LS Pizza is the awesome! Almost as good as Zach's.

Great video! Very entertaining and you have excellent presentation skills. Plus your enthusiasm is fantastic. A tip for masking I learned from boat building!... After painting the first color and masking, spray a little of that same first color to fill any micro gaps under the masking tape, let it dry a bit, and then spray the darker color. Works like a charm! Also, use the most expensive tape you can. Nichiban is great stuff. And always store your tape in a ziplock bag. The edge does all the work. Once it's contaminated, it's worthless. Cheers!

Another great build Steve. Tubing is so hard to paint evenly. Your storage straps/holders are awesome. You know you might look into some thin pinstriping tape to cover some of the masking blemishes you were showing. Might look good with a thin matte silver stripe at the color breaks.

Those paints look a whole lot like ironlak paints. Also the description of how they are applying sounds like most grafitti paints. Ive gotten awesome results from ironlak or montana spray paints! Ive also used roth spray paints for some awesome metallic paints. Primer is definitely an essential. I do very much like 1k primer and sealing everything with 2k clear - they have awesome 2 part spray cans 2k clear coats. Eitherway awesome build series. Been a serious pleasure watching it unfold.

I'm just starting to also build bikes (I've only built 2 frames) and your channel is awesome. You've got some pretty nifty stuff and workarounds to some problems I've encountered while building my own frames... Also, I'm starting a youtube channel, about building bikes but something a bit more vlog like...On to the topic at hand, my first frame was painted by a friend who works at a body shop. He used car paint and it turned out pretty good, for some time. The paint wasnt too chip resistant and it started getting some rust sport where the paint had come off. For my second frame I was able to find someone that did soda blasting (at a fair, affordable price) and proper powder coating. The finish is AMAZING, and the paint feels really strong.. I'm currently trying to find some options for rust-proofing inside the tubes. I know there's Framesaver, but I've been wondering if there is something else, more readily available I could use.

I like the way you got the lights hidden on their as that is sometimes an issue for me on my hauling bikes. I do still think it'd look much more worthy of your efforts to just clearcoat the bike frame. It offers protection but looks awesome. I could be biased though as the last bike I bought is a Titanium frame and they are never painted.
