If she thought the drain was illegal, she should have filed a lawsuit against the entity that installed it instead of flooding the neighbor's yards. Now the neighbors hate her and she faces lawsuits from neighbors, the city and possibly others. This is truly the work of a narcissist.

They have to give her a reasonable time period to fix it, if not, she could argue that she was going to fix it but wasn't given a reasonable amount of time and then the county would be on the hook for the repair costs. This way, the county can sue for the full repair costs, as can the surrounding homeowners that have damage or a cost from what she did. This will not end well for her.

And now let’s add up the fines and lawsuit or lawsuits. This is a perfect example of working strictly from emotions. I’m not sure about every state or local municipality but the multiple ones I lived in all had understandable regulations about water shed. Regardless of land ownership or not, you were not allowed to stop the flow of water or change the pattern of it without engineering approval to keep it from having adverse affects. Civil suits would seem in order if damages are being inflicted upon her neighbors by her deliberate actions. The offender can pick up all the court costs and lawyers' fees as well as compensate people for lost wages when the must leave work to file complaints in court, meet with their lawyers and attend hearings.

I’m not going to play internet attorney or make outrageous or ridiculous suggestions, but it would be seem that if the city has the authority to order it unplugged it could also have their attorney get a court order to allow them to do it as an emergency to prevent water damage to other homes since we are in hurricane season. If the homeowner is found negligent they would bear the cost of the work and if not, the city would have been responsible anyway. But to argue back and forth and delay while owners face real threats to their homes is just lazy governmental irresponsibility. If the drain doesn’t belong there it can be removed or moved as time allows without causing flooding from delays. It’s been there for years, a few months won’t hurt the person whose land it’s on.

Was the drain installed when she was at work , on holidays , or did ninja service workers install it while she slept ? No, it was there when she moved in ! A drain that so incensed her , she chose to flood everywhere by filling it with concrete , yet an insufficient afront to her sensibilities to stop her buying the property , complete with drain pre installed , in the first place . Must be one hell of a house , she certainly didn't move there for the neighborhood , her not being a neighbor kind of person. As for the other residents, the neighborly thing to do would be to file a class action suit against her for the damages they've incurred . It's not the evil ones we need to worry about , it's the stupid ones that will end civilisation.

Similar thing happened at a house we bought for the kids. A Karen over the back fence across the alley, decided she didn't like that we had drove through the alley to access the back yard! I think I only ever drove through there a few times in the 10 years we owned the place. The alley dead ended just a few hundred yards past the yard by the drainage canal. She put all manner of concrete yard ornaments and flower beds on the alley just past her garage so she was the only one that could use the alley. We needed the alley access so we could access the back yard as the canal ran alongside the south side and the main highway through town affectively blocked any entry from the street side. Called the police and they referred us to the street dept. They didn't want to address the issue but finally made her remove all the crap. She claimed she was worried that by us driving there it would crush the utilities under the alley! They let her off easy, she must have a relative in city politics.

I'm going to assume that the county and the courts have ordered a survey of the property as no real detail other than the portrayal of what a crime was done. All I can take is the women got upset that a drain pipe was put on her property not a utility easement and cause water to run on her property to the back of the property where a canal exist causing erosion. However some of the videos out there displays one news caster stand on the public right away stating the drain was there was filled. Has anyone of these New Anchors, Courts or County Code enforcement pulled legal descriptions, Property Suveys or title records to confirm these claims?

This is actually an extremely serious situation because Florida is highly susceptible to sinkholes due to the soft limestone under the ground, when there’s lots of flooding with nowhere to go, the water will seep underground, it create crevices and voids that wash away the sediment thus creating deep pockets of Sinkholes, sinkholes can range from a few feet to as wide as a football field, swallowing everything from light poles, mailboxes trees, cars to entire houses
