It says "by his stripes you were healed" in first Peter it says by his stripes you are healed! So, the devil being a liar AND a deceiver..... Shows you pain or introduces pain to your body. NOW... WHO ARE YOU GOING TO AGREE WITH? GOD? by his stripes(beating) you were healed are healed or be like Dr. Smith crying "OH THE PAIN THE PAIN!"? IT IS THAT SIMPLE! I HAVE SEEN MANY MANY PEOPLE HEALED OF ALL SORTS OF STUFF FROM CANCER TO COMPOUND FRACTURES INSTANTLY HEALED TO ALLERGES AND SPINAL DEGENERATION. THESE ARE ALL LIES FROM THE DEVIL. BUT REMEMBER... ON THE 3RD DAY JESUS AROSE AGAIN. AND HIS WHOLE BODY WAS HEALED! EXCEPT FOR HIS BADGES OF HONOUR. SHOWING A L L THAT HE WAS THE ONE THAT WAS ON THE CROSS AND DID DIE. BUT IS NOW ALIVE PROVING HIS MESSAGE AND SHOWING US THE WAY. 😎

Well in the ArT of not sounding false. Let's look at it. When I look around i see human stories of morality being told on endless scale. But does this guide us morally? For those of us that can look deeper yes it does but for those just wanting to listen to a story to pass time it does not. So, the worker will work and find value in that work. And, the closed minded person(that thinks they are of open mind) will slip ever more in to personal insanity (Hell) or a Brother's keepers Hell.

As a Muslim, he is my Mullah who has managed to articulate the Abrahamic rules for my generation in a manner where it's not just preaching but rather valuable wisdom and a wholly symbolic worldview that I was only unconsciously aware of. So glad to have come across him. Literally learnt to articulate my thoughts from him. During company meetings, not only did I have the best public speech, but the heads at the mother company were honestly impressed with me enough, to specifically look for me every time they visited just to say Hi. Prior to him, I would have a hard time facing something as monstrous as a crowd, let alone impress it. Love him.

As I, at the age of 71 can attest. Looking back on my 20s, when callousness, unbridled narcissism and arrogance painted over low self esteem, clinical-grade anxiety and depression, I can see in retrospect what an actor I became. I became such a good actor that I was able to attract women, one of whom became my wife. But the masquerade must end at some point. Living in daily contact with another person, dysfunction in this area cannot be hidden, at least for long it can't. Being such a good manipulator, I was able to tell myself that I was OK by being able to befriend and recruit people and to drag them down with me, all the while neither they (nor I) knew what was even going on. Unlike Nietzsche however I am utterly grateful for the New Testament, and have taken advantage of a great promise of God, that "a broken heart and a contrite spirit He will not deny", and thank God for that.

You make a mistake and things will go seriously wrong for you (us)." "Because things will come your way that you just do not want to see at all." And it might not just be you. That was a good joke, actually laughed out loud. Here’s a question, or at least something to think on. If the USA is planning full legalisation of cannabis, in all forms. Isn’t this encouraging drunkenness, a sin in the eyes of the lord. Just a though I had, that’s all. Of course. Like alcohol, if you don’t abuse it (binge drink) it’s fine. Cannabis for me at least is either no affect at all, or full blown stoned. So I shouldn’t use it. No idea about other people though.

Fear of God is knowing and believing the Truth about who God is and who we are in relationship to Him, and then - flowing from that - walking in obedience to Him - rooted in humility. The opposite being to arrogantly refuse to bend the knee to Him; in combination with unthankfulness - leading to bitter resentment - all rooted in pride.

Always amazed by JP. What a smart man. This exact truth was apparent to metered, reviled to me. I mean I learned this valuable lesson first hand....well it finally was apparent to me at 40 after a good run at living my way and bending rules that I actually always paid for my deeds . In hindsight I can see clearly that I paid for everything I ever did. Funny enough I always landed in situations that were forcing me to learn just what I needed to learn at the time too. Because of this relentless teaching life always handed me I am finally able to start growing and really maturing and becoming the adult I can be.. Or, I'm at least going in the right direction. It's nice to have my observation and belief confirmed by none other than Jordan. A remarkable man I respect. The kind of man the world needs more of. I thank God for his mercy and not giving up on me thru all my trials. He's made me more of a man that I was willing to settle for. Best wishes to all.

At the 3:20 mark, he is talking about "looking back in time" to find the "cause" for an "effect" in the present. I've kept a journal for 39 years. It has proven to be the most self-damning indictment imaginable. Put this way: I made God's job a whole lot easier. He doesn't need His own records.... My advice: "Dear Diary" is fine. Do not actually put the work into writing in a journal. You will not like the you you you are in the present because of who you were in the past and you certainly will not like the you you were in the past because of who you are in the present, so you have no reason to think you will like the you you will be in the future. So what do you do? Keep writing.

I recall hearing a quote regarding the unexamined life. It would probably be relevant here. But I don't need a journal to recognize what a scoundrel I have been and still am. But I also see a causality and purpose in that as well. Being of some varied degree of ignorance necessitates a factor of failures. I can hope to achieve some enlightenment, but would be foolish to expect shangrila or whatever the heck full enlightenment would look like. God perhaps? Nevertheless, I am grateful to have the self awareness. If for no other reason, it tempers my intolerance of idiocy, since I count myself among them. Saves me a ton in bail bonds.

@antibull4869 2 жыл бұрын
@@sackpersoncool depends how you want to define God then. I believe that the Christian faith comes the closest to a proper definition. The idea of God is the abstract good that one can do. Doing a Godly act could then be taken (in Peterson’s words) as an act that is good for not only you now, but you in the future, AND good for everyone at every point in the future. Jesus would then be that abstract good in human form (as close as possible to God as a man). The Holy Spirit can be portrayed as the striving for doing that good. God= abstract good acts Jesus = human version of the abstract good Holy Spirit= striving to be as good as God. Thoughts? Cause im certainly not a theologist, but this is extremely important i think to define.

+Kyung Hoon Kim Because of our social construct in our society, we have created an overtone of right and wrong through Christian biblical influence going as far back as Puritan culture in New England from the Colonial times in the United States. It is deeply ingrained in our culture. I personally find it quite hypocritical because everybody will be on the heroes & villain train. you can even find this and some of those cold and selfish communities in the United States like Hollywood. but you can still be ridiculed in this Society if you are made to be publicly humiliated and shown to be a villain. We are going buy a nonsensical code of ethics that does not pertain to human nature in my opinion. I like hearing Jordan Pearson's lectures more so on Carl Jung and the shadow to be quite frank. But when he starts talking about Old Testament and New Testament Middle Eastern theology.. he kind of loses me. you can simply read human history and apply the logic of cause and effect and realize things happened for specific reasons and you must also variable and cultural Dogma for those civilizations at the time and Supply that to how human beings have always been twisting the system of laws and religion that they have always been given.

I like using the Free pardon from the Governor analogy. All of us are born into the fallen state, but we all have a get out of jail free card. Simply overcoming my own fallen nature isn't possible without a Christ-like figure to aim myself at. The battle is internal as well as spiritual. When we accept our own fallen nature, we can then seek to overcome that nature through the power of faith and repentance. Ultimately, every person has a ticket to paradise waiting for them. Not every person accepts this, therefore some put themselves in the prison called "hell" simply by denying the gift of "Christ".

But an add on to that belief in the sacrifice is obedience. If one is said to believe then there are standards to meet, that is what part of the NT is for, to examine ourselves and see if we truly are saved and are being made a new creature in Christ. As believers, Christ's sacrifice should not be used to sin freely, but to demonstrate the holiness which can be attained by His Spirit in us. I hope this can become clear to those who find this all interesting.

Own up your guilt and use it as a stepping stone to do better next time and assist others not to fall into that experience or it makes them the best teacher.

The crime that never was. The son of a god who never was. In man lies both good and evil. In ones own soul lies redemption. It cannot be granted from another, or taken from a god.

Tim Hallas believing you are superior to someone because they believe in god is idiotic at best, the purpose of god is to move towards becoming a better person. If you regards yourself as higher because you believe in science then your argument is invalid because it comes from a place of superiority, if you died right now you would be another grain in the sand of time and same with me. Believe what you want but don’t tear down others for your benefit of feeling better about yourself

@@duffydope I did not imply, nor do I believe that having knowledge, and not believing in a god, makes me better that anyone else. All people have value, regardless of their mental predisposition. The truth is, I continue to find that believers in the Christian god imply and appear to believe that they are "better" in some intrinsic way, than me. I find much arrogance on both sides of that fence, and I try my best to remain in the middle. I see great value in faith. I just cannot substitute faith for understanding, or bliss for curiosity. Do you think your god understands my reasoning? Will he accept me as I am?

Tim Hallas I think he would and I think both sides are ignorant as well, faith is great and reason is great also. No one should believe they are superior to someone else because of faith or lack of faith.

These are the realities of life just as JP describes it. What you do comes back, either good or bad. I have seen this so many times in my life. If you see someone who you think is getting away with bad stuff just wait, eventually it will come back. Saw a corporation ultimately tumble because of the head guys narcissistic immoral behavior. He thought he was so smart..

@@vladovojtas3441 Criterium is a bicycle race, something must have been lost in the translation. Everyone knows God made Man In His Image. So the God that looks like a man, who is immortal, that created the world, knows the future and will return to raise everyone from the dead on the last day, is God. He appeared to Arjuna in the Gita as Lord Krishna, he appear to Moses in Exodus 24:9-11, he appeared to Muhammad in the Quran, he appeared as of Jesus in the New Testament, he appeared to Joseph Smith in the Book of Mormon and he appeared to me in the Gospel of Timothy. I am sure he appear to others but I haven't read their books yet.
