okay, this sounds beyond hokey, she wanted to be beautiful because despite being good at her job she felt she was being overlooked because she wasn't beautiful and long and behold shes proven right when her grandpa comes and takes her away to a magical place where she gets hit by cosmic rays, and her form was changed forever, in a most fantastic way!! wait, that sounds familiar,... anyway, she becomes drop-dead gorgeous and is now one of the beautiful people!
