Kyoshi, is a double block in Goju? I mean, gedan barai for example, would include action of both hands, and not only one?

Yes, almost always both hands are used.

Best principle (more like Sepei and with our shoulder moving out and our ude circling back after the posture break) to even get an controlling (short time) standing arm bar, if the other one tucks his elbow down and tight. And nice to see you move, as allways.

Correct.

In my style of karate ( Seigokan Goku Ryu ) we call harai otoshi uke .
@GKCgoju Жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing. 'harai' sweep, 'otoshi' drop or down. Is that how you would translate it? - 'downward sweeping block'

This really stresses how the entire movement is the technique... potent stuff!
