Fun fact, chickens wore rose colored glasses on large farms back in the old days so they wouldn't notice blood on other chickens and attack them. Pretty interesting when ya look into it more, think I saw it on Myth Busters in their early seasons and again in American Pickers when they found a pair

This is neat..however I'm more inclined to presume that the shadowy distortion around his hand may actually be the glasses picking up on the reflection of light off of the surface of his hand...kind of like a light shadow.

Well me personally , I've trained myself to feel the sensation , but takke your fingers and do a pinching motion just like he did in the video. Doo it very slowly , close your eyes ans focus on the sensation and eventually you will be able to feel it , like two magnets of the opposite charge pushing against each other , it's the same exact sensation just not nearly as strong. I believe this , maybe magnetic field , is what is being detected as it is something the human eye cannot see but is in fact a reality we barely perceive. I've gotten to the point where if I put the palms of my hands near each other and do a motion as if I'm rolling clay dough into a ball , I can actually feel something faintly the palms of my hand. Sounds nutty I know , but I swear it.

Dicyanin. The 'cyan' portion of the word means blue, referring to the blue color of the dye. This dicyanin blocks out incoming red wave colors. Sorry mate, don't think they are legit, but cool you are having fun with them
