guys, you definitely need to add some kind of "green cloud" or something that highlights the target binding part of the COVID protein, otherwise you'll accumulate many "off-topic" solutions and unfortunately loose time

also some other observation: many people (including me) complete tutorials and find the corona for Begginers not understandable as this goal/aim was not explicit in the tutorials. at least one video describing the goal and some basic means for this task would help for sure, it is understandable that you lack time, but some small investment into the tutorial might get important rewards; keep it up!

Awesome video, hope Lexi can be a repeat guest, with all the misinformation out there from social media loud mouths, it’s so comforting to hear someone with an actual related PhD. who’s willing to bring her knowledge to any questions. Really impressive guest with a great demeanor in sharing info in a way that’s clear to all

That was really useful information! Please spread this video to more people, so they understand what computing programs like floding@home are doing and how it is put into practice. I‘m sure that once people understand the process they will contribute much more.

I'd say the tutorial is lacking a bit more puzzles because after finishing it I found many more tools in the real puzzle that I didn't know how to use. I also wish there was a way to build the protein from the connections up, like first add the bonds you need and then build the protein afterwards. That's just me I think I'd have an easier time that way.

Hello people! Have you already studied how it works the ACE receptor? Changing the spike structure would mean changing RNA virus, that could be dangerous, if any mutation occur.

I am wondering how you test the binding of your synthesized protein to your target protein? Thermofluor experiments or ITC or another technique?

Foldit is using players' human intuition whereas the Folding@Home and Rosetta clients are strictly computational. See also Wikipedia: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosetta@home#Foldit

You guys should raise funds for the winning protein. Always keep in mind, some people do it for the challenge, others because it is a world pandemic, but you'll always have a minority that will do it for the payout. Not only will it be great publicity to advertise the prize for the winner, but you'll end up with way more contributors.
