I met the jerk boyfriend actor at a con once. There was a puppy hanging out in front of his autograph booth, and when he saw that we were more excited by something on the floor than the actors, he came around and pet the puppy too. It was very sweet.

I can never remember that actors name, but he plays villains pretty often (in one series he was the actual devil). Glad to hear he is nice in real life and that he seems to like puppies (there is a German Shepherd breeder in town who is at the vets office as frequently as I am who has a strong resemblance to him, which is totally unrelated, but really weird considering that I just thought about this actor again today because of that 😜)

the FX department who made the beast's makeup also did the makeup for Hellboy and they used the very same head casting of Ron Pearlman from B&B For it. I remember very little from this show but I did recall seeing it on tv back in 87.

I tried watching this show in college, and it was a little too slow for me, but I did like Vincent’s soft-spoken nature. I think we need more soft heroes like him. Plus, Roy Dotrice, who plays Vincent’s adopted father, narrated so many Disney book-on-tapes from my childhood, so it was nice hearing his voice again.

Just a suggestion for future reactions for fairy tale related shows: Have you seen Jim Henson's The Storyteller? You might be a bit hesitant because of the puppetry in it but it is a good watch. Recapturing that dark yet innocent feeling one gets from being read old fairy tales.

YES!!! I've been looking forward to this review for so long. 1987 Beauty and the Beast holds such a special place in my heart & I'm happy that it's getting a little more recognition with this video 🥰🥰🥰 As divisive as this opinion is among fans, I'm in the opposite camp about season 3. What made this show the smash hit it was wasn't not only Ron Perlman's capabilities as a leading man but also the on-screen chemistry between him & Linda Hamilton. There's just no replacing that.

Oh my gosh! Ron Perlman was amazing in this! I can't imagine how long that makeup took every day. I guess Beauty and the Beast's makeup walked so Hellboy's makeup could run. 😄

It was so much fun watching someone who is seeing this for the very first time. I started watching it when it was brand new in 1987. Yes, I am as old as dirt. But I still watch it even all these years later. There has never been another show that captured my heart or my imagination like this one. You are in for an incredible ride.

Now know having watched the video, i do live your reaction. It's nice to see someone new react to this show and already enjoy it. I hope the article you read didn't spoiler anything for you. I love how the beast's make up was done in this show. So much better than the CGI of 2017 Disney. And yes I so wish there was a version where the "Beauty" had either physical scars or other disabilities just to make the narrative more original. And I know surgery can do a lot, but I question back in the 1980s, if they could have fixed and healed so well it's like the attack never happened except for the one that can easily hid. And I know it's "Beauty", but give something. Overall I really enjoyed your video and cannot wait to see more. I don't know if you'll go episode by episode, but there are some overarching narratives. Great job :)

My mom used to watch this in the 80s when it was on. She quit watching when the female lead (Linda Hamilton) quit. Without Beauty, what is the point of continuing the show...and it was canceled in less than a season after she left.

If you can't guarantee their contracts together for every season just write a meaningful, plausible conclusion and call it a day, instead of trying to milk some extra bucks out of a season anyone will hate.
