I've been all over these United States driving tractor trailer. You've picked a great spot to settle. Beautiful town it looks frozen in time just like your home. Take your time make it a labor of love, live by no one's timetable but your own. Your dreams and those smiles you were looking for will all take place. Sincerely and 73

I could just feel your giddy and delight and joy in that video. I know what you mean. I found my way through a series of unfortunate circumstances to Kentucky, western Kentucky. But the one good thing was, I found my soulmate, my best friend, my husband. But this is a very sad, very depressing, Sad place to live. So I know what you mean about wanting to be someplace where people smile again. My husband will never leave this place into a certain extent. I understand that because he built our entire home and all the outbuildings himself. And he customized the home to me and we’ve redesigned things together. But that doesn’t make people smile, and it does not make their hearts sing. I pray that your home is turned out to be all that you hoped and that your heart is still singing, as was reflected in your face in this video.

Hi Sarah and Gabriel. 🖐️ Thank you very much for taking me along on your trip. The rocks are amazing. Your new home is so beautiful ❤️. I especially love the green walls with the flower border. Also even more lovely, is all the beautiful wood. I can see why you two fell for that home. So glad your restoring it. Smiles and blessings 💕😊🙏

Sometimes the best adventures are spontaneous and unplanned. Looks like quite an inspirational journey you two have been on. I love that you jumped right in with following your dreams and buying this new home that I’m sure is going to be filled with so much love and joy. I do hope you guys are able to film more of the process as you go. Would make for great content. I’m an avid architectural enthusiast and have a special love of the Victorian period aesthetic. Been watching your videos for the last few years and it’s just been wonderful seeing others also enjoying some of the things in our modern society which are no longer quite the norm these days. Wishing you guys all the best! -Ryan McFadden from Orlando FL

This particular choice of music in the video has always rendered memories of a past life forgotten but once loved and cherished. Each and every time I hear music such as this it takes me to another time another place. Great holiday memories and your husbands intuition paid off. Always listen to your inner self it will lead you down many wonderful paths. Thanks for sharing, your new home is a dream home and one which will radiate its inner beauty as well.

I’m from Iowa. I saw you were at the Figge art museum. I’m from that area originally. My grandmother was Mr Figge’s maid back in the 40’s. I hope you like that area and yes the folks there are very friendly. I hope you’ve been to the shops at the Amana colonies. If not I hope you check it out!

Congratulations! You are certainly not the only one moving to a new home. It seems this last year shook us all up. Something good will come of it, I'm sure. Edit: I think I would forgo a functional toilet to wake up that woodwork every day. What about the garden?

Hi Sarah! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful vacation with us! Your videos always create such a warm and lovely atmosphere! I have a rather silly question, but I hope you can answer it. How do you drive without a GPS? Because I think that there is something so beautiful about relying only on a paper map instead of a gadget, but what maps do you use and how do you find an exact destination you want when driving from state to state? I did some research on this topic, and I know that there are maps for particular cities, but I still wonder how you planned such a big trip with a map? Thank you, Sarah! (If someone in the comments knows and answer to my question, I would also greatly appreciate a response!)

This was really lovely, it almost makes me want to go for a road trip down in the states when the border opens since Canada is... a lot of highway LOL. One question I have for you, which isn't on topic of this video but rather on the visuals - what sort of shoes do you wear? I know you wear Victorian and reproduction clothes but I was wondering where you get your shoes or what sort of shoes you wear for different activities? I have a reproduction Vienna Congress boot, and a reproduction 1900s pair of heels myself, but I am wondering about what sort of footwear would be good for various activities like cycling and hiking :) But your new home is beautiful, the woodwork in the entrance hall is work all the work alone.

Hello. When I was a child, before I entered kindergarten, my mother would leave me at my grandmother's house. When she was making coffee in the morning. She had a Shocklin box with a picture of an antique woman exactely is like you from the 18th century. Since that time when I grow up I want to marry an antique woman like this. this image was in my mind until I found your story. Do you have an antique sister exactly like you?

We live in a much divided nation . Fact. Conservatives are happier people and l know Washington is far from a Conservative state .l do not mean to bring up politics.

Conservatives think they are happier and liberals think they are happier. What would help is if people put aside their fixed ideas and listened to the other side and what they care about and find common ground.
