these type of scams have been around since the 1970s . i remember when i was a lonely and desperate 18 year old guy who wanted to meet a pretty female back around 1983 and i answered a dating service ad and they told me to go to their office and pay them 200 bucks , and i cant remember how i even came up with that money back then , but after i gave them the money , a couple weeks went by and i was never contacted by them with the information i needed to contact potential dates and they never would answer their phone anymore so finally i went back to their office and it was empty and for lease and the people were gone , i got scammed .

The idea of going through a matchmaking company is okay if you want quicker results than doing the online thing. But the big problem I see with it is you pay these companies hundreds or even thousands of dollars to get the process started, but that doesn't guarantee any of the people that have waiting for a match will actually like and want you. The point is, there are no guarantees to this type of system, because no one is obligated to date the list of people they have.

The way that she keeps saying “my ladies” suggests that this is a scam of sorts. I mean, does she refer to HIM as one of “her gentlemen”? At 5:22 we see the photo he submitted to the dating agency, but that is TOTALLY deceptive and if I looked at the photo and then expected to meet 'that' man, but then seeing him, I would have turned around and left immediately.
