Woodshop Junkies

Woodshop Junkies

Жыл бұрын

I designed this one-day build for woodworking hobbyists like myself. It is light on material and hardware and can be built with a few basic tools within a day.
I focused on a simple assembly to eliminate the need for complex high-end tools.

I love a super sharp chisel ! And your push to open is magic ! How about creating a bicycle chain on each side of the center post, the chain hidden of course, and you can put a bicycle small gear on the drawer or bedside cupboard so that you can decide the height. Then more drawers can be added, or just ride down. Hidden stoppers can be made. I see your grey matter moving ! By the way, your videos are special because my mind can almost smell the wood. Mm kiaat is too expensive for me. I'm a pensioner, but many ppl throw things away. Anyway, i enjoyed your video. My friends say i have a MacGyver mind. Lol Enjoy !

Very nice, I think I’ll use the idea for the floating shelf drawer as bedside tables. I’m in a wheelchair and am always backing into my side table. I could incorporate charging for my phone and earbuds/phones along with a lamp. I have a lot of 20+ year old, old growth Honduras mahogany.

Great video. SO AWESOME to see a wood PROJECT video! We finally get to see you use the amazing shop you've created and I look forward to seeing more project videos that you're going to put out just now. I LOVE the wood you used and I wonder how it scores on the Janka scale. I really like working with African woods like Sapele and African Mahogany...they are hard, easy to work, and have a great chatoyance once lacquered.I have a Curly Sapele box here on my KZbin channel that I just love. Anyway, good to see you again and I look forward to more projects from you.

I've never used Kiaat but have seen some really beautifully figured boards online here in the UK so might have to check it out for special projects in the future. Love the design too; minimal, modern, and the push to open feature I think could be fun for shop furniture too so less risk of catching clothing etc when moving around a small shop.

I love your videos and your engineering genius. I have about six feet approximately 1.8 meters by 18 feet approximately 5.5 meters of a 2 car garage for my woodworking tools, I need a fold up work table that I can put my miter saw and my 12 inch (30.5 cm) drill press on. I am stumped and could use your help, How is that for a project?
