These products really work, bought the bio stimulant pack and already noticing significant color change and increased thickness after just 1 application at the minimum recommended rates, have applied RGS, Humic 12, and Microgreene, have not even applied Air8 yet. You will be a believer when you see the color change and increased density of the grass.

I became interested in the natural products that contain Kelp about twenty years ago. The literature from Aggrand had a liquid thatch product that was discontinued, the other products are similar to the N-Ext products but more simplified into a single product. The Shrub, tree and Palm package is attractive to me to use in my garden because I believe in the ingredients combined together that are not in traditional fertilizer products. I find real value in products derived from the ocean as a source of fertility.

Can you explain how the 18-0-1 causes a carbon and nitrogen increase into the soil? Is there a video on this?

Would you be able to do a video on a warm season turf plan to follow. I think everyone here really trusts your knowledge and it would be extremely beneficial to myself a customer of your great products

Love all your informative videos. Would you do a video on warm season grass, ESPECIALLY CENTIPEDE GRASS? I feel like centipede grass is neglected and nobody wants to do videos on it. Why? I dont know. Is it because it is to delicate??? Maybe its time to prove people wrong with these N-ext products.

Thanks for this video John. It was most helpful! I need to power rake this year. My lawn is 12 years old and hasn't ever been power raked. Should I power rake prior to applying any product?
@Lawncology5 жыл бұрын
You can if it bad, otherwise, you can start running D-Thatch as soon as the temps come up.

Thanks for all your information. I am learning so much from you. I’m loving the N-Ext products by the way. I was wondering if using Air-8 and a Pre Emergent at the same would be counter productive? My thinking is that since a Pre Emergent creates a barrier on the soil and the Air-8 is breaking up the soil to push oxygen down, I would think the Air-8 application would make the Pre Emergent application ineffective.

Why no P&K in the JP program? I use a lot of K in centipede and to help cool season grass survive the hellish summer here in eastern North Carolina
@Lawncology6 жыл бұрын
Paul's Prime Cuts K is great to add. I usually get it from RGS, humic and air8. Those are where the foliar K comes from. Phosphorus comes from the phos cycle of life in the soil

Great Video. I was wondering if your recommendations for putting down Air8 in the summer applies to all areas of the country. For instance I'm in New England and was planning on only using Air8 in the fall and spring. Good to go in the summer? What you said made a lot of sense.

Thanks John! Killer stuff; very thought provoking. I was putting down 0.8 lbs/1k on my lawn. I'm doing exactly what suggest in this video -- stepping down. this year I'm at about 0.65. Next year I'll drop to around 0.4 lbs or less per application. Your videos really make me think and constantly reevaluate my program. A quick background: After we bought our house, I largely ignored the lawn. After about 5 years it was overgrown with moss & weeds. I have made tremendous progress, but still have a long way to go (I post regularly on Instagram - @jdrobbi - cheap plug). I'm always looking to learn and find better ways to improve my lawn. Thank you again, Jd

John would be interested to create a program for eastern NC transition zone for both warm and cool turf. Hoping to use the “secret granular” coming out. Already using rgs with zspray and thinking of adding microgreen and air8

Someone else below asked this same question but there's no response. Will Air8 disrupt the soil and make your pre-emergent obsolete if applied now? Hope John answers or if someone knows. Love these products but still getting a handle on when/what to apply etc. Thanks!
@Lawncology6 жыл бұрын
SerranoPE so there’s a myth surrounding aeration and pre emergent and Air8 will Not adversely effect pre-m. Understanding that there isn’t actually a barrier is important. The activate ingredient coats the early stages sees development and the reason that aeration isn’t recommended is because you are exposing more soil that can hold a deeper seed. Read this excerpt: Because pre-emergent herbicides create a barrier in the soil, it is a commonly-held belief that aeration will disrupt this layer, defeating the purpose of the herbicide application. However, according to Dean Mosdell, a field technical manager for Syngenta, there have been several published research articles that demonstrate no reduction of weed control with spring aeration. “I could see that tine aeration might be acceptable since the area disrupted is small but in the case of core aeration I would have some concern with the amount of soil being removed from a given area,” Loughner said. Reicher points out that lawn care companies shouldn’t be deliberately aerating after applying pre-emergents, but research shows it won’t do too much harm if you need to. “When you look at a lawn care company, clients sometimes don’t treat their lawns the way you might recommend,” Reicher said. “If they end up wanting spring aeration after the herbicide has been applied, you can go back in and aerate, but I wouldn’t do it intentionally on all of your lawns.”

i asked this before and didnt get a responce. it could have been overlooked. can you run both machine aerator and also do AIr8 as well, or would this be a waste or overkill?? looking to start my lawn program in the fall. as in utah milo is tough to find. SO i have to order it online or drive to where i can find it. little bit nervous about the liquid program and my soil.
@Lawncology6 жыл бұрын
mike Norton I believe I answered this before, if not, here’s the deal. No reason for both. The Air8 is replacing mechanical apps all over the country. It’s just a better response for the turf over all
@trevorpotts4106 жыл бұрын
But if overseeding mechanical is better? This is what I was reading in the LCN plan. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks for the knowledge.

Another very instrumental, educational and valuable video John. Once again thanks for sharing your knowledge with all of us. Call me crazy if you will but this summer season , I have already done two applications of the Bio-Stimulants pack (29 May and 7 July) and I am noticing that my lawn is way more resistant to the heat waves we have been having compared to previous seasons. I am by far dominating the neighbours, all because of what I am learning via your channel along with Pete and Allyn and putting into practice those knowledge learned as well as using your products. So imagine what the upcoming years will be like as it’s my very first year using them....☝️.
