I get the sense that we're still just scratching the surface of what you can do with that many oscilators. But building an interface for them that makes things manageable is quite an invention in and of itself.

Would be a ton of work but what if he set it up so the oscillators could ring modulate eachother? Or even each whole group of oscillators modulating the other groups.

It really needs to be set up for 24 channels -- 12 notes, split into left and right, with each channel's oscillators set to span several octaves... and then control it with 12 buttons. Play it chromatically, typically two notes at a time. I tried this with a sample of the kilodrone, sampled from a bit where he had the entire thing tuned to a single note across all octaves... and it works really well. It totally fills the sonic spectrum, so there's only room for 2 or maybe 3 notes at a time... and no real need for additional octaves on the controller because going up or down an octave sounds almost exactly the same with such a huge sound. It could be nice to duplicate the control buttons though, to give the player two "octaves" and make it easier to play in keys other than C.

LMNC obviously has a fantastic channel and the museum looks great, but I can’t help but think he would make an incredible show for 10 to 15 year olds to learn about electronics. His ability to explain things in a simple manner is very impressive.

There is a patch on the Korg prologue 16 which pretty much nails it ;) Have a look at Luke from Korg demo it with Jack on the Andertons music channel. Kudos to this guy here however . I love dedication and work. I think with some time and tweaking this monster hes built could be a thing of legend.

7:57 Back in the day when I was in the electronics industry working as a bench tech a fellow colleague was twisting wire using this method, however; he attached the end of the wires to a huge top heavy locker cabinet and began running the drill to twist the wire. He pulled the entire cabinet over in the process.....that sounded like thunder when it hit the floor ;) Needless to say he received a few whistles and applauses LOL This project has been very impressive. I wish you success with the museum

i used to wind wire like that at the electronics firm i worked for........ except mine ran the length of the factory floor.... also the amount of twist per inch can affect the voltage tolerances.
