I want to thank you. Because of your videos I have made my grandkids alot of dolls and now I can use a hook to crochet. But it started with you.

Oh Denise I’m So Excited 🎉. I’m rushing to the store to grab yarn. My granddaughter has been asking me for a new blanket, I guess when she’s this video I will be calling Santa/Hanukkah, Harry

Love this pattern! If I wanted to use this ladder stitch to make a winter hat for my toddler grandson, can you tell me what you would suggest? Thank you for all you do and speaking calm and clear 😊
@LoomaHat Жыл бұрын
Yes you can. Keep in mind that the video is for the flat version of the pattern and not for in the round. You would need the pattern for the round version. I have not tested this pattern for a hat but if using the Uwrap you will need a large loom - like the 41. I know that it sounds crazy but that stitch is tight. If you're using the eWrap then use the 36. Again, I haven't tested this so I'm making an educated guess.

Could you use 2 strands at once and use the e-wrap version or would it totally ruin the pattern?
@LoomaHat Жыл бұрын
In theory it should work. I would suggest making a small swatch (sample) to see how it looks.

Is that a 4 ply of yarn you are using in this video? What other gage of yarn can be used?
@LoomaHat Жыл бұрын
Yes - it's a 4-ply medium weight also known as worsted.
@tstearnsca Жыл бұрын
Can I use worsted,#4, yarn for hats using this pattern or do I need to use #5 or 6? For me, #4 yarn hats have too much space or gaps between stitches and don't look that nice.
@LoomaHat Жыл бұрын
I used #4 yarn. What creates holes is the eWrap with worsted on a large gauge loom. All stitch pattern videos are the flat version like blankets and scarves - not for hats. You would need to get the written pattern at Loomahat.store . Hope that helps 🙂

Hi! Im looking for how to do a baby bucket hat using the E rap on a loom. Will you do a tutorial on it? Thank you! I have a deadline too. No pressure, I just hope you see this comment in time.😬

Hi thanks for asking but I do not. I haven’t seen one and unfortunately I currently have a full schedule for the year. I believe Scarlett Royale from the Loom Muse has one for adults.

You could use your big loom (those with 40-ish pegs) and flat knit. Just remember to keep the yarn loose, or take yarn that’s one weight down. Flat knitting goes a whole lot faster after you‘ve gotten used to it, so just give it a try.

@@ArDeeMee thank you for your advice,🙂 I’m not much of a experienced knitter. I’ve only ever done snow hats. The bucket hats I’m making are for to newborn babies. What is flat knitting? Once again thank you for your advice. 🙂👍
@ArDeeMee Жыл бұрын
@@flowernotes3299 You just don’t wrap the peg. Denise has many videos about flat knitting, just look at her doll tutorials. The issue with flat knitting is that you will only see what your project looks like AFTER you‘ve cast off. The stitches are really compressed, and when you take it off the loom you stretch them into shape. The socks I make look like scraggly abominations - and then I pull and stretch, and suddenly my husband has a new pair of comfy socks. Bucket hats need to be as tall as all other hats. You just don’t finish with a drawstring, you sew the top flatly together. That’s easier if you do a standard cast off, then turn it inside out, sew the top, and turn it right side out again.
