What I love about Brotherhood/Visiting Rome in person, is that you really do have moments of the bleeding effect as the player and that continues to blow my mind. Walking around Roma was incredible when I went last year.

There are no words in english, portuguese or italian to describe the feeling of jealousy I´m experiencing when watching this video. As an 51 old grand dad, but a AC fan, I had a dream, to buy a bottle of red wine in Monteriggioni, take a selfie by the flag pole in Castel Sant'Angelo and get my feet in the Fontana di Trevi. I got the wine. By Ebay. Good job, messere Loomer. Keep making us dream. ;)

In my language, 'Moneta' is the word we use for 'coin', so here's an amazing little bit of living history still discernible today. We derive a simple word from a small temple on a tiny hill, far away across an entire sea, and destroyed some 1500 years ago.

Loomer Uhm... foolish question I know but... any plans on doing the same for the other games in the series? Yes, I know. You don't need to say it. It would be "quite the undertaking" to go and visit places like the Carribbean Islands, or find remnants of what the US East Coast looked like pre-Revolution, not to mention trying to visit the Holy Land. Actually, I think "quite the undertaking" is a bit of an understatement!!! I'll stop rambling now. Thanks for everything, and for taking time to read all my nonsense.

***** My girlfriend and I were looking at a nice long summer vacation (we were both overdue for one) and found a nice deal on a cruise from Venice to Istanbul (via a few stops in Greece as well). Then we were like "Oh what if we just spent a week in Italy before that and just turned it into an Ezio vacation?". And then once we settled on that I was like "Well I can't visit all these places and not share it with my subscribers...."

Incredible video Loomer. I’m curious to know how you prepared for the trip, as I doubt I would have remembered all these landmarks from playing the game so long ago, especially seeing how much they have changed over the years. Did you replay the game and then list out the Landmarks you wanted to visit or did you just walk around and remembered then as you encountered each one. A behind the scenes on the making of the video would be so awesome. Thank you for sharing such an amazing experience with us.
@loomer
@loomer 10 жыл бұрын
Julio Araque Thanks! Probably 80% of my research came from the AC Wiki, especially the "Landmarks in " categories. The rest was pulled from memory, or skimming the stories of the games, or skimming KZbin playthroughs. For time's sake, I tried to limit the locations to ones where story events happen (as opposed to some where they just exist in the game or have a glyph on them). A "behind the scenes" video would be super boring as it would mainly be just me opening a million tabs on the AC Wiki and typing in a Google doc for hours haha.

You should go to Paris and London! I hated Unity's story but the streets of Paris are unbelievably similar, as well as London.

Great video. :) I had the chance myself to go in Venise and i was surprised to remember a lot of places seen in AC 2. Italy is such a beautiful country and a great place for Ezio's Journey.

Wow thanks for uploading this video. That was great. The music made it so much better! I always wanted to visit the locations of the Ezio games myself. You must really have had a good time there. Though I guess Rome doesn't really have a countryside anymore huh? And I always thought it was so beautiful there. I just hate modern cities...

***** Rome does have a modern countryside, we just didn't have time for it and prioritized the landmarks :)

Loomer Oh it does? That makes it even better! Countrysides are important otherwise cities just look ugly in my opinion. Sounds like you two really enjoyed the trip. Nice to hear :)

I'm an American student living for the semester in Rome -I've never played Assasin's Creed games but this was still pretty interesting. Which entry in the series takes place in Rome?
