As a looper, if you paused 2 to 3 seconds before each shot, just waiting for a mumbled "IT'S ME!" or some code word or gesture that only you know. --- KNOWING that if you hear or see it, that it will be yourself. At which point you don't shoot and get to know your older self. That would be kickass. If you had to do some detective work on who the holy terror was you could do it as a team. The two would have cleared the whole timeline issue right up. Plus with young Joe's savings and old Joe's investment knowledge, they could make a fortune after they whack the holy terror before he's a problem.

@elijahvigil74673 жыл бұрын
True but sadly, time travel itself is a one big fugazi. Even if they did team up and stopped the Rainmaker from rising to power, that would probably cause their universe to explode because its stated earlier in the film that the Rainmaker started closing loops. So no Cid/Rainmaker, no one and I mean NO ONE, would've been set back in time.
@richos072 жыл бұрын
That’s what happened with Seth. When his target arrived, he heard it singing a tune that his mom used to sing to him as a boy. That’s when he knew it was his older self. And we saw what went down after that.

Old Joe calls young Joe a killer and junkie, yet he continued to kill by being a hitman for the Chinese syndicate and didn't get clean till a couple years before his wife was killed and he was sent back in time. Hypocrisy at its finest
@apierre63 жыл бұрын
It's not hypocritical if you're literally talking to a younger version of yourself. 😂 He's just acknowledging the fact that she was a crappy human being for most of his life and he needed his wife to get him on a better path.
@mikeman42233 жыл бұрын
@@apierre6 Old Joe was even worse until the end. Young Joe proposed that he would just never go to China, avoid his future wife, and save her life. Old Joe wouldn't have it because he was still a self-absorbed monster that preferred to kill children instead of going for that option. Does that sound like something that is on a "better path"? That's not actual love, he just wanted to have her for himself.

Chinese yuan is global reserve currency and the loopers (hitmen) use silver and gold as its untraceable and can be sent back in time. Money changes appearance over time so sending money from the future would look different and be considered counterfeit when they try to spend it.
