It is so satisfying watching this video, because I have noticed this double technique since young and used it in self defence. Watcging you sensei do it reaffirm me of always look for deeper meaning in katas. Im teaching my daighter this this week :). Thank for sharing

Yes and no. It depends on the context. Gedan barai is often performed looking over one’s shoulder, this means that you are sideways on to the opponent. So you may consider wrenching, throwing, breaking, locking, as opposed to ‘blocking.’
