loose starter on Tecumseh snowblower

I had the same problem. I used washers on the bottom bolts but will check the top ones too. Thanks.

I wondered if the play on top was normal and maybe reaction to torque would keep it tight either against block ot bolt heads but I was concerned about how the movement could affect the lower bolt mountings. I tried Google for info and Tecumseh manuals but found none.

I had 2 recently helicoil bottom holes red locktite them in blue locktite 2 1/2 inch allan head bolts in. They have lots of problems

Interesting on the loctite. I just did a friends. My plan was to test fit the helicoil and then loctite it. Found that they won't screw back out anyway so I guess it doesn't matter about having the loctite.
