So glad you liked it. This is a vital part of getting effortless power. Effortless power allows you to have a swing for life because you don't have to be strong to be loose. Everyone marvels at the person who has this effortless swing yet they never copy it. Instead they try to smash the ball as hard as they can every time. I get power through looseness. Then I just coil and uncoil my body. It is that simple. So once you loosen the wrists and stop hitting the power source is the legs and hips. I have tons of tips on this now. I would also start with these: BEGINNERS - START HERE Body Swing Concept: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2ncap17rr5ma80 Grip: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oIK9faNul6tgjdk Alignment: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHe9lGONppdraM0 Simple Swing: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYWvp4Wpn9yZf68 Wrists: Hinge Rehinge: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIvIhaSZr5ejo6c kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2mZaYSpidF6qpY Body: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJXTmaeeeLZsjK8

I want more loose wrists. And I’ve interrupted Paul’s video to say this is what I’ve been waiting for before watching it, because I’ve always wanted more loose wrists. Ok now I’m sitting back with great anticipation to get it from the master teacher. HINGE RE HINGE. OK PAUL. GOT IT. I’ll also try the door knob trick. THANK YOU. 👍😊🍀❤️

So hinge and rehinge while holding on to the club securely. You need to do this daily. You and everyone else can do it but it take a little work and new thoughts and feelings you need to get used to.

Your videos on loose vs locked and grip have changed my practice session. I spent today hitting 100 range balls focusing on shoulder alignment, right hand placement in fingers, loose grip and loose wrists. It took 50 balls but i was finally able to make solid contact across my clubs. Best moment was hearing the driver hit middle of face consistently amd watching the ball keep climbing. I have a 100mph swing speed amd was struggling to get 230 total distamce. Watching your videos and taking into practice what you said taught me to swing freely and get my distance back. Thank you.

I know this is older. But this video is what nobody teaches you. I played bad golf for 6 years until I figured this out on my own. Saw 2 instructors, one was a top 150 guy in Golf Digest. Neither of them even mentioned anything like this. It doesn’t even take long. Once you finally feel it you’re going to be like me and feel pretty stupid lol. I definitely felt dumb. Because it made so much sense. Practice this.

Thanks Paul for another amazing tip! I purchased the body swing package in January and started the home courses as I live in Northern New Jersey. Finally started taking the new swing to the course- couldn’t be happier. I was in Jacksonville, Florida over this past weekend to play golf. My drives were longer / accurate and I hit my 3-wood 228yds off the fairway. 15 yds longer than I did in the fall. Thanks for helping me improve my game !

Thank you for the support. I truly appreciate it. So glad you are are working on it and seeing results. Stay focused and try to do each position precisely. The whole point is to make you look like a pro as you swing. I cannot do the positions better than you so daily practice swings. More practice swings than balls for a while. This will be your best season yet.

I love this video....went immediately and got a swingrite trainer with coupon code....hinging/unhinging is dogma for the body swing method its on every video!...if this device can help feel it then great..the only other device i bought 30 years ago was a gary player heavy hitter....weighted club i use in winter to swing and keep my golf muscles strong!....this one should help reinforce that wrist release move!...it has great reviews!....im not really into golf devices...but loose wrists and realease of them on the swing is vital to this body swing method! Thanks! Its coming!

Glad you liked it. Yes, that SwingRite is great. It literally sat in my car for about 2 years or more. I had other ones I was using but I tried that one and it is just so much better. You cannot cheat it. Keep working on the snap and 280+ is in your future.
@Parrott65
@Parrott65 Жыл бұрын
Hey Paul! Another great video of course. Is the snap supposed to be at the ball, before, or after? Also, doesn’t the snap require a type of “braking” of the hands, where you have to slow them down to allow the snap to happen?
@paulwilsongolf
@paulwilsongolf Жыл бұрын
If you are first working on it I would have the person do it before the ball and get every ball hooking. This is half (SPIN). At this point the wrists unlock and you get nice compression and way more distance. Then you work on body (DIRECTION). You are not purposely slowly your hands and arms down to get the snap. You are loose and it snaps due to simple physics. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5CyYXtohrN5pZI kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpyapWyvfaiCY6s kzbin.info/www/bejne/baDPc6Stjatmf80 kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIvIhaSZr5ejo6c

i been watching your lag instructions, it's been very informative and interesting... thank you. i was wondering what grip you would recommend using. i been using neutral grip when i practice and noticed when i try to integrate the lag on the downward swing the grip automatically rotates to semi strong grip which throws off the angle of the flight. then, when i start with the semi it would revert back to the neutral grip. is there a grip that works better to produce a lag?
@paulwilsongolf
@paulwilsongolf 5 ай бұрын
I teach a neutral grip. That is the only grip you should be doing. It allows you to have loose wrists. Strong grip + loose wrists = massive hooks so you will tighten to stop it hooking. Then the nightmare begins. Follow along: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oIK9faNul6tgjdk

what if the loose wrists lead to hitting the ball too high? Doesn't it lead to casting the club and hitting fat/thin shots? How do you prevent casting the club when you say "snapping the club"?
@paulwilsongolf
@paulwilsongolf Жыл бұрын
Loose wrists won't get you hitting it to high. They will get you hitting it perfectly. Why would it lead to casting. If your arms were turning off your body would lead the club would follow. What does "lag" mean? Something trailing behind something else. So if your arms were turned off the club would trail behind your body. If you are casting the body is trailing behind the club. This is a drill too loosen your wrists and hook your shots. A pick part of getting lag is having loose wrists. If you want lag do this drill. Video your swing as you do it. You will see you will have it in all of 2 mins: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qaq9iXyvf7N7Y7s kzbin.info/www/bejne/qnnMoaKMqqqtf5Y kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zpiypn6Hpbqfa5Y I would be snapping it and getting every ball to hook first. This will get you delofting the club and hitting it 30-50 yards longer. Then once you can hook about 10 in a row you switch to firing your legs and hips. This will straighten it out. Work on lag later.
