Not true. My husband left me for a younger model a year ago. My life was shattered into a million pieces, I was 64. I have 2 children and a sister. Nobody supported me at all. They had a 'we're bored with this now, pull,yourself together' attitude. I've lost my health, physical and mental and my life. I don't want to start again and I haven't the privelege of money like Ms Feltz. It's a disaster when your man leaves you at an advanced age and you're unwell and poor.

I love Vanessa think shes a smart and sassy lady buuut I think on topics like this she is not wholly relatable. Firstly the average single 60 year old is not likely to have as many friends as a beloved TV and radio celeb. Secondly she said she experienced no loss of friends after splitting with her partner and again that’s likely because of the clout she brings having her as a friend and not the usual experience for women who do often lose that side of their partners social circle and sometimes even on their own side as women sometimes feel threatened by having a single (especially if attractive) female if they still have a partner and lastly even if you may have a wide social circle - going out for just one night - the travel, drinks and food is expensive enough let alone doing it almost every night. Just my tuppence worth 🙂

No Vanessa you have not learnt from you many disastrous relationships that you will not find love in a man, but you will find it in yourself. Maybe try therapy to help you learn to be able to be with yourself without yearning for another useless man, will you ever learn.
